Thank you thank you thank you x1000000000000!!!! :notworthy: A couple days ago I started a thread asking about your metal state of mind while shooting. Everyone helped in their own little way. One person suggested I try a different styles of shooting. Now I'm still a rookie, I'm only 23 and been doing trad only for 1 year. Been doing archery for 15 years. When I started traditional I shot instinctive and in the middle of deer season I had to make a change, so I switched to gap shooting. At the beginning of the week I thought I was going to have to give traditional archery up because I just wasn't consistent enough to hunt, and that's why I'm doing archery at all. So tonight I decided to give string walking a shot. And I LOVE IT!!! :archer: Now I've only done it for about an hour but I've never been this consistent without wheels my bow. So I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I hope one day I can be one of you guys helping others out on this site. I'll keep you guys updated on my progress!
Cool!
I don't know what string walking is(don't need to) but I am glad it's working for you.
Do whatever works for you and keeps you shooting your best.
God bless,Mudd
I saw a good segment on one of the Masters of the Bare Bow DVD's. I'm thinking it was Ty Pelfry and #2, but I'm not 100% sure on it. Anyway, good luck with it, and enjoy!
Yeah I believe your right. I own all the Masters of the Barebow DVD's. Does anybody happen to know if bow makers tiller a bow special for someone if they string walk? Since it puts more pressure on that bottom limb. And if so what kind of bows?
TTT
Glad you found something that works for you. Not sure if any bowyers do that....
That's what it's all about helping one another and passing it on.
No better place to be than Trad.Gang.
