Mondays usually aren't my favorite days, but this weeks sure ain't bad... my 54" 54@28 Kwyk Styk w/ static tips was waiting on me at the door from the short trip by way of Canada. A 54" bow just isn't suppose to be this smooth, feels like a 62" bow. First impression is nothing but wow. Black Charcoal riser and wedges, limbs are boo cores with tonkin bamboo veneers that are stained down to match the riser, gives the bow a really neat look. The tips, grip overlays, thumbrest and arrowhead in riser are of Buffalo. I sent Jack measurements on the grip, and he nailed it. Shoots every bit as well as my 56" Kwyk Styk, just in a 2" shorter package. A keeper !!. The sight window measured from the shelf to where the sideplate ends at the longest point is 2 3/8" on the 54" and on my 56" Kwyk Styk is 2 5/8". So only 1/4" difference... Not bad at all.

Back off Fred.
Atta Boy Tom....a real beauty. A few customers here were a little skeptical at first when the Static Limb tips were offered but after shooting one...it was the final nail in the coffin! :readit:
It will definitely throw out Carbons with some authority...Good luck this fall :campfire:
Joe, last time I told a policeman to back off it didn't work out to well for me. I'm hoping for better luck this time. Besides Fred's wife told me he has way too many bows.
Now...Now...fellas, it doesn't hurt to ask..LOL
Jack's due to start on my KS in November...just trying to get a head start on shooting one. Besides I was going to offer Tom my spot on Jack's list. NOT!!!!!
Great looking bow Lanier!
Charcoal is one of my favorites and Jack's design is just plain cool!

Very nice bow indeed!
Very nice thanks for postin Shane
Well I had a short list of Honey Do's today so this morning the wife and I took a little trip over towards Athens. We met Froggy and I got to shoot this little bow first hand. I shot it and his 56" Kwik Stik and there was no noticeable difference other than the shorter riser. This was my first time ever seeing a Kwik Stik.
I had read all the posts about them and after shooting Froggy's two I now understand what all of the talk is about. Mr. Jack Kempf is an excellant bowyer and his craftmanship is great. These little bows are screamers!!
CJ,
Sure enjoyed meeting you and the wife, and pleased you liked the Kempf's. Cody said last night to me, CJ and his wife were really nice. I have to agree, ya'll are welcome anytime !!! :campfire:
Lanier
We enjoyed meeting you all as well. Cody is a fine polite young man. You all are welcome over here at our place anytime as well.
I was telling Kim last evening how amazed I was at the way those Kwyk Styks shoot. I have read post's on here many times from Guru and others about these bows and honestly thought to myself yea just more hype about another bow. I have to admit I was wrong I understand all the hype now.
That Froggy is a good dude...

Feeling's mutual for sure Mr Mitch !!! :campfire:
Froggy
I was very fortunate Jack let me deal his bows here in the states. I'm also happy I sold many of his bows to plenty of satisfied customers.
His bows were the best kept secret...for a while anyway :archer2:
Joe most fellows up here really like Jacks Little Grizzly it is a flat bow and is smooth shoots very well it can be had very short 48" to I think 60" ,,yes the Trophy Hunter is nice , But all the Bows Jack makes are very special,,I commented to one of the Guys at trad dart league that Jacks Bows are getting better as he gets older,
TTT for not only a great bow, but Jack is one of the nicest fellers I've ever worked with.
He is amazing.....
:clapper: :clapper:
Hey Fellas,
You are all correct Jack Make one of the nicest bow out there. I have only three of them The Little Grizzly, a falcon and last but the best of all: the "old Cluncker" as Gord would call it. It is the # 2 Kwick Sticks that Jack built for himself"s. It was his personal bow for many many years. I happen to be the luckiest person on hearth as Jack Gave it to me when I shot my first big game (Moose)with the little Grizzly.
You see I had a personal goal to shoot my first big game with my first Kemph bow. Jack is now making me a spare set of limbs for that Kwick Stick. For many years I shot that cluncker every time I whent to his place and I amongst other was Yeying it for a long time. Again Jack is one of the nicest person you can meet. It is a previllage to be one of his friend.
If you like one of his bow you better get on that list as someone saied in one of the post he his getting better with time. He is turning 80 this year. Just shot a Turkey in a trip to the USA. He his awsome for is young age....
Yves :archer2:
I still like the Stealth over the Kwyk Styk....

Old fashioned, personal preference...I just like my limbs mounted in the front... :readit:
I had one of Jack's first Little Grizzly bloubow, 58" 55# at 28". Took one deer with it...then a customer came in one day, took the bow outside, shot it a few times and asked "How Much?"....He left a happy customer...Still has the bow too.
Joe helped me get my KWYK STYK and he is as good a feller as they come too.. Thanks again Joe, Randy
Does Jack offer any other models with static tips? Is the Kwik Styk the only static tipped bows that Jack offer offers? Thanks.
Joe Skipp would be better to answer that for you, he posted above. Shoot him a PM.... Thanks
Joe
Too bad you sold that little Grizzly. The Stealt is also very nice I don't have that one yet... According to my wife a man don't need that many bows.
I saw your pictures on many of Jack's yearly Calanders. Heard only good things about you. Often read your posts here also. We might be able to meet some day. Next time I go to NY/Jersey to visit my Brother in Law. I will get in touch and see if we can shoot together or have a coffee.
Jack is making a static tip limb for his Raven, says it works well. The Raven riser has interchangeable recurve or longbow limbs, and are mounted in the more traditional style similiar to the Stealth.
Terry
Yves....more than welcome to stop by, coffee pot is always on and a large backyard to shoot arrows in.
