WEll as most of you know, I am an avowed Quinnaholic/Recurve shooter. I have tried sevral quality longbows, even built one, and to say I struggled shooting all of them is minimizing it. Well this weekend at KY Tradfest, I was offered a trade of a super looking longbow for some of my knives by a Mr. Ed Neat. Never heard of him, but his bows were nice looking. I had been fondling them, and confessed to wanting one but couldnt justify buying something I couldnt shoot. Ed had me take 2 of them out and try them on the practice range. WOW! I could hit where I looked, even though I was tired and short drawing. I had trouble deciding between a bamboo backed osage, and a zebra wood riser with glass over osage and copperhead limbsations with stag limb tips. I asked Ed which he could sell the easiest, since he made a generous offer to me, and he said the BBO, so I came away with the second one, both were#48@28, 66". They had D-97 strings on them, and whisper quiet. After 3 days of shooting a little, tonight I came home and shot great, right off, shot my quiver empty, starting at 15 yds, and moving back 2 yards per shot, last 5 between 32-38 yard or thereabout, on my carpet deer cutout target. I was shooting as good as my recurves, and this bow really flings them. If someone will help me post pics, I will email them pics of the target and bow, cause as Mudd always says, this thread is worhtless with out pics! A big thanks to Ed Neat!
Sam, send the pics to: dugcat@msn.com and I will post them for you.
