April 17 at the Rockwood state forrest on 29 at 10 am. if you want to punch in a exact location use 141 Church Road Johnstown NY 12095 which is my mothers addy and she lives 1/4 mile away from the forrest. my cell is 518-848-0019 for anyone who has questions. you can pm me, Ron W or Kat who will all answer whatever you have, hope to see ya there!!!

Pmed Ken & unfortuneately can't make it. I am going to taxidermy school for deer & will be north of Rochester. I'm so bummed to miss the shoot. You guys will have a great time & lots of pics. Wishing you good weather. At least I'm missing it for a good cause & not work. Another shoot later on would be cool.

Ken,

If I make it Saturday afternoon I may stay at camp like last time in my hammock. Although the comfort of moms place sounds welcoming....hmm.  I really can't give a solid answer till the day of. There is a HUGE competition Im working that involves all the service academies across the world and West Point is hosting it. I put aside a bunch of stuff for the trade blanket, but haven't started packing for the trip yet. I wonder if I can remember the way to camp from the parking area???

I just checked the weather for Northville (about 20 miles north of Rockwood Forest) and for Sunday it says clouds in the morning and turning sunny in the afternoon.  10% chance of showers, so I look at it as 90% chance of no showers.  Looking better!!!

Im good for Saturday evening. I still dont know what time the boss is going to let me leave, but I figure I should be there no later than 8pm. I hope that isn't too late???

Also,
Would anyone attending be interested in some cigars? I have to make some room in my box, and Ive given enough away to my Cadets. I know I know, its a bad habit and I shouldn't be pushing it on anyone. I promise I only smoke on special occasions. And never during hunting season, unless I'm successful. So what I'm saying is, that I haven't had one in two years. Really..   :readit:    :rolleyes:

Good luck guys!!  This has all the makings of another Adirondack Attack (for stumps anyways), not sure it will be the same without porcupine on the menu, but I guess you guys will have to make due  :D    
Ken, give mother all my best, and you probably should make Drew shoot with one arm tied behind his back.  What he lacks in generosity and basic human decency, he makes up for with shooting skill and pure mad-dog-mean. (If you don't mind lets just keep that btwn the two of us)  :laughing:  Wish I could make it but prior engagements wont allow.  Maybe see you guys in the fall.

Those old stumps should be soggy tomorrow!

To everyone involved today, I want to extend a giant "THANK YOU" Both from My wife's cousin Noah, Myself and Noah's parents. His gifts were exceptional!  He will remember this birthday for a long time, I'm sure.

I couldn't get him to stop talking about how much fun he had.  After we arrived back at his Grandmother's house, he wanted to shoot in the back yard. I had the opportunity to explain laws to him at that point.  He then told his mom to hurry up and get home so he could show her how he shoots the bow.

Thank you so much again....

Hope some pictures are posted so I can UBB his parents to see what fun this stuff can be.

Got home a little while ago in the bright sunlight.  What a day. Great bunch of guys, and some terrific shooting.
Shot of the day goes to Adkmountainken. 14" high stump about 10" wide at 65 yards. Ken centerpunched it.
Great meeting so many trad gang members.  A special thanks to Frenchymanny for the long drive, and great time sharing the day.
Weather cooperated and stayed dry and warm.

Had a greattime with a great bunch of guys.Had some good laughs and shared some wonderful stories.Learned a few things on shooting also.Had some neat things at the blanket-trade.Hope to get a turkey with the shafts I got from Drew.Can,t wait to see some pics.Hopefully we can continue to keep the stumpshoot going every spring............Thanks Guys

Yup, had great time!! I also got some arrows from Drew and some shafts of the same batch, perfect for my daughter!! Great trading blanket, go a sweet flint knapped knife with a bone handle and a bunch of hush puppie silencers. Great bunch of guys and plenty of fine shootin, it is an awesome place to stump shoot and other than LHkeith slammin a couple my arrowsgot thru without breakin any of my own, plenty soft old growth stumps. It was a pleasure meeting Manny, great guy and can shoot lights out!! Also got to shoot a dryad of Keiths and even though i is lefty I hit everything I shot at with it!! Thanks to everyone for the great time!! Shawn

Wow man, awesome time with a whole lotta good fellas. Just when the man cave was starting to get organized I bring home another boat load of gear.Thanks for that knife Tim. Casey and Ken, good trades My friend Mike is hooked real bad now and says he cant remember meeting so many good dudes. Weve been buds for about 30 years, since we were 10.Im glad he finally picked up a stick. Looking forward to getting after some trad deer with him this fall.

Incredible time!!!! Thanks for the great memories. My wife was happy to see the smile on my face, although she was hopeing for a lighter return load. A great time for certain.  Great to see Noah off to a fine start with his Ben Pearson Hunter II.

Thanks much to Ken and the others who worked hard to make it happen.  It was a teriffic shoot and a bunch of fun.  Some darned good shooting was done, and I got to watch it!  I'll testify Ken's "miracle" shot was all of 80 yards!    :archer:

 Didn't do a "head count", but there must have been 15-20 guys, and again I was the ONLY Leftie in the bunch!  :scared:  
 Many thanks to Ken for the "organized chaos"  :)  & Shawn for the rideshare. So much fun! Everyone was great & I even picked up a few pointers along the way  :thumbsup:

Guys, It looks like Y'all had a HOOT!  Lots of fun, Do you think we should do a stumpshooter exchange program!?  I like the idea of a National Stump Shoot Day as well.  Maybe National Day of Stump Mourning? Alot of decent stumps died today, as well as a few fire ant mounds and pinecones down here (no thanks to me) Joe

Great time, very nice people, and I was humbled by there shooting abilities. Ken and his Mom are great people and really made this city boy feel right at home ( man, can Mom cook ).

We had a lot of broken arrows and one Robinhood that I know of, I don't think we lost any arrows !, I know I didn't, which is amazing.

Again, great time, look forward to the next time I see all of you.

Somewhere in the center of that cluster is a little 1" plastic bottle cap.

Another amazing shot that doesn't show is the one tall stump with arrows stuck in it.  There was a 1/2" orange marker ribbon that the third arrow severed!  (Ken picked it off the ground and re-hung it for us mortals to try for).  I'm thinking it was Tony's arrow but it might have been Izzy.  One of those "pretty shots" that stick in your mind.

Well Charlie, I thank you for putting me in the same group as Izzy and Tony, but I'm no where near as good as they are. I was indeed the third shoot that severed it, but I'm sure I was aiming for a different target when I did.    :knothead:

Well, we not only killed a lot of stumps up here.  There is one dead Budweiser can that was full and sprayed all over a few arrows.  One radiator shroud that won't be used again.  A big tire, dead.  A water bottle.  And a couple balloons that had the wind knocked out of them.  My pics came out a little blurry.  I dropped my camera in the snow and I must not have cleaned and dried the lens enough.  They look pretty good on my computer, though.  Guys, I am still smiling because of the good time we had.

What a day it was, what a great bunch of archers and hunters, so much camaraderie, things to learn and exchange, I had a blast!

Too bad day to day life grab me right arriving in Montreal, but I'm so happy for the friendship and the great time!

The fella from Maryland, Chopx2 won the long distance prize. He won a hand carved walking stick carved by the famous woodcarver....ME! It even had a porcelain faucet handle on top....who knew he was in the plumbing trade...LOL!!!!!

You know something, he showed me that walking stick but I didn't know how he got it, that's pretty cool, I was wondering why the faucet handle ? now it makes perfect sense.

Any of you guys or gals want to come down to the Whittingham shoot here in NJ the weekend after this one coming up are certainly welcomed, if so I have a very large tent I will bring with me for whoever needs one. This is a pretty big shoot and many archery makers will be there and it's a real good time, let me know.
