Thanks Ed. I made that knife from a knife my brother used on the job before he was disabled. It has good steel so should stay sharp. Looking forward to the pics of your deer all skinned out.

I hope you can. There are a bunch of different weights in there. My Favorites are the VPA's, those are 175's and killed 4 turkeys and 4 deer this year.

SCATTERSHOT I think it must be christmas . Thanks for the carbon shafts, the 2117s (that my widow likes) the fletches,nocks,quivers and for getting all the misses out of the arrows. The old kwikee kwiver brings back some old memories.

Thanks a lot Curt I've got everything I need to try and build some cedars I've always shot carbons but with all this stuff I think its time to see some wood fly. I'm glad you like the Helle blade blank. The handle wood I sent with it is Osage, and there should be enough leather there to make a small neck or belt sheath for the knife. Glad you liked it.

I got a rattle bag that will get used in Missouri and Nebraska this coming fall.

I got some nice green barred feathers that will be fletched on my daughter's arrows. She think's they are pretty!

I also got some nice fishing flies, a beautiful hat or vest pin featuring a bull elk, some onestringer arrow wraps, a nice Bear rest and strike plate, a judo, a judo snaro point for birds, and several misc broadheads.

I just arrived home from work and found a package from Cody, Wyoming. Thank you Barney! Barney sent me two elk hunting videos, 1/2 dozen MA-2 broadheads, 1/2 dozen screw-in field points, cat whiskers, string wax, Shooting tab, Woods wise grunt call and a really nice wool camo cap from King of the Mountain. I recieved your box of goodies yesterday...Thank you very much!!! The feathers were the perfect color for some arrows I had that were in desparate need of a spruce up, so my arrows are now sporting white wraps and greed feathers!

Also got a treestand belt that is used to hang all your stuff when hanging out in the stand all day, more feathers, nocks, a stringer, and a gun lock just to mention a few.

I will be able to use the entire box of things, and how did you know I have a knife fetish? :D

The white elephant completed his circuit and dumped on my back porch today before climbing into the loft in my barn for another year. Some things may still be in delivery mode, but thanks to all who made it a joy again this year.

I got out my tools and opened the package . . . and here's what I found:

AWESOME Nairobi Wool hat that fits perfectly.
Italian military shirt that also fits perfectly.
2 stone heads that you can see in the picture.
A sharpener that probably will do no good on the stone heads, but should do wonders on my metal ones.
Some beaver fur . . . or seal?
A saw blade that may finally inspire me to make a knife!

And a really cool handmade fire starter kit that includes an antler handle spark rod, a magnesium bar, an osage handled neck knife (forged from a file blade), and sheaths for all.

And lastly, a small forged hook threaded to screw onto an arrow shaft, for scrounging up lost arrows in the field. At least I think that is what it is. Thats what I'll be using it for...

You're welcome, smalson. That is beaver, should be enough to get a few sets of silencers. That bandsaw blade makes very nice lightweight knives, and great trade points. The steel has been annealed, so you need to heat treat anything you make out of it.
