Hello everyone.
I want to make up some 4" low profile naners for a 4 fletch 90˚ set up.
I'm thinking I want to end up with 1/2" high feathers.
3 rivers sells two different profile naner choppers.
Both are too long so I will need to raise the base of the chopper's feather "guide"
I'm thinking I should buy the taller profile chopper.
I think the low profile one would leave me with a REALLY LOW profile after adjusting it to 4".
What are your thoughts and/or experience with this oh wise gang?
Thanks
To get the 1/2" tall at 4" you will need the low profile chopper. Here is a link in the How To forum of how Rob did it:

And another by Rob from what looks like the high back profile, yielding a taller fletch - go down a few photos:

Here is mine from a low profile. I cut a replacement fence out of aluminum so that I could adjust it for length and height:

At 4" long, mine came out a shade under 1/2" tall but in a four fletch, stabilized fine. Since the first ones, I adjusted for a bit longer feather to get the height up to 1/2". Enjoy!
I have glued skinny skewers to lower the profile of feathers in my chopper. The chopper gets rid of the extra skewer and the profile is easy to adjust.
awesome links!
Thank you
