We got my brother his first longbow. It arrived this week. It's a 64" Toelke Whip 45# @ 29"
He draws the full 29".
I'd like to hear about arrow/head combos for this set-up...both in aluminum and carbon. What are yall shooting?
He has some 2216s laying around, but I think they'll be too stiff.
Maybe 55-60# Surewoods or POC with 125gr up front.Keep it simple so he enjoys the shooting the bow.
Out of one of my 45#ers I'vehad good results with
Beman ICS bowhunters in a .500 spine. Gold Tip
Traditional 35/55's shoot good to. Try a .125 and
a .145 up front, and see which behaves better.
For aluminum try 2016. Carbon = the 500 or 600 should work.
Congrats on the bow for your brother. Remember try not to have too much fun lol. Good luck.
2216s are way too stiff go with what whittler said 2016 or even 1916s i think you will get the arrow flight you want
With his longer draw 2016 or a 2114 should be pretty close. Depends on what point weight you want.
Agree with the 2016 and 2114 recommendation.
