Put some painters tape on bow, then spray black. You must be hunting out of a blind. You probably only need to do the upper limb. Your bow hand is probably more important, since it is closest to the window. Wear a black glove or smear some black mud or makeup on it.

I personal have not needed my bow black when hunting from a blind. Never been busted by turkeys or antelope with a shiney bow.

Black food coloring in a soft paste wax.Should last a while and can return it to orginal after the season.Dr. Ashby gave that tip a long time ago.Kip

There used to be a product called "Bow Dull" that came in earthtone colors including black that was much like spray paint, but came off rather easily with a little lacquer thinner, but I haven't seen it around for years. Maybe someone here knows a source.

Black athletic tape-hockey tape, works great, comes off easy after the season is over.

It's what I used before I had a black bow

Beat me to it. Also if you wanted something permanent there might be something in the "film dipping" that would make it also look nicer.

Oops, just thought of one more. You know that tape they use when you give blood and the wrap the gauze on the spot where the needle was? That stuff sticks to itself but wouldn't leave a residue on the bow. Very flexible and yes they make it in black!!!

If your wife has an old pair of black panty hose, cut two pieces, streach over limbs, secure with black electrical tape and go hunting. Ads very little weight even if wet and comes off in a jiffy with no residue. I do this with my selfbows also. If you use other colors, you can camo with black marker. Just use marker before putting on bow or you'll have black streaks on your bow limbs.

The panty hose is a good idea but with my luck I'd snag a briar and my buddies would spend the rest of the day pointing out the "run in my stocking".

I agree wear a glove, face mask, or camo and don't smile until their down for the count.

Painters tape does not cure with age like most tape and it comes in green, blue and maybe another color, then use a black permanent marker to color.

I personally like to use furniture polish and let it dry to a dull finish.

I would go with natural camo nonreflective finish myself, not real keen on carrying a black bow around during tukey season. Turkey won't notice what color your bow is inside the blind anyway, just put some natural color over the limbs to mask the shine if there is one.

Here is what the old timers came up with:  simply rub your bow down with bees wax and then spray it with black camo paint.  You can remove the paint with just a soft cloth and your hair dryer when you are done.  Works great and lasts all season if you want it to.

Might try a roll of black Vet-Wrap (sp?)
It sticks to itself and will not damage bow finish
Sold at vet supply--used on horses alot--it's cheap

Get in touch with Onestringer(sponsor) and get a set of his flat black limb sensations. Cheap, easy to apply, and won't harm your bow if/when you take them off.

Camo Face paint. Just need to put more on the next time you hunt.  It dulls it pretty good even after wiping it off. Mike

Skin-eeze or whatever onestringer sells, around $20 and holds up well and leave it on for the season and peel off at end of season, just less fuss than all the other ideas! Shawn

Yep, the black wrap bandages for livestock work awesome - I've used the white in the winter time as well for cheap snow camo.  Your local farm supply store should have it for less than the vet (Fleet and TSC both carry it around here).
