Hello, i just wonder how many french or europeans bowhunters are members of this wonderful place ? )
-
There are a few of us in the UK, depends on whether we want to class ourselves as European :)
-
Hi from Bilbao, Spain
-
There are a few of us in Norway. I do not know if we can call ourselfes bowhunters though, since hunting with bow and arrow is not legal here. But interested in bowhunting and archery, yes. Bue--.
-
Hi from Norway.
Sins bowhunting is illegal here, I do most of my bowhunting in South Africa. :archer:
But we are working hard on changing the law in Norway and its looking promising so fare. Maybe we are allowed in about 2 years from now.
Aun Egil
-
same illegal situation here in Germany. We have to travel to go bowhunting, but there are some of us here.
-
Hello from Geneva (Switzerland) ;) I'll hunt in france once I'll have the licence :)
-
Hello from Norway :)

I will be in Europe next month on my honeymoon (Rome, Paris and London). Any place to fling an arrow ?
That's a joke, doubt it would go over well on the honeymoon.

I live in the Czech Republic. Bowhunting is illegal here as well. I will be doing plenty of it next fall when I am in the US though.

I salute you who work to keep a tradition alive where it is forbidden.
Hopefully one of you will be remembered as the future Roy Case of your homeland.

Hello from Finland..We are allowed bowhunt small critters and roe deer here in Finland.Soon maybe we are allowed hunt whitetail too..
-
Hello Karne, thank s for your answer, you have whitetail in Finland ?
-
Hi from the Netherlands. No bowhunting in the Netherlands (illegal) but a group of archers is working on it.
-
Its crazy that the former land of Vikings deems killing anything with a bow illegal. :banghead:
You Norwegians should point out that your government supports the harpooning of whales, but killing squirrels with a bow, well that's just going too far apparently.
Had some really nice Norwegian neighbors when I was kid (of course their jobs were oilfield related).
-
Another German here.
Blake, are you stationed in Mannheim? I live about half an hour away fromm you.
Blacky

and wikipedia tells more about Whitetail in Finland. My english so poor but maybe i learn..
Here is link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_deer

Outstanding! You have definately got to convince the game management powers that there is no point in having whitetails without the ability to bowhunt them. Bowhunting is to whitetails what skis are to snow.
PS - I like your hats.

Does it count if my language est le francais?Lol

I ain't, but the wife is! We've talked on Archasse before. Still haven't stretched a string in France. She and I will be over the first week of May visiting her family near Strasbourg, too busy to bowhunt this trip, though. :(
I'll hunt the sanglier someday, though. I have a German friend that breeds Teckels that wants to take me out on a pig chase with his dogs in France someday...now that would be a blast with the recurve!
Ryan

Thanks for your answer Stumpkiller..Well,we do our best to get whitetail under hunted species list And we have about 3000-5000 bowhunters today.
That hat,it brings memories my military service.By the way, that hat name is bloodscuup..

american stationed in Germany.
i'm actually starting up an archey and bowyer program here on base. lots of students shooting trad. and a few going the extra mile and making their own.
no bow hunting here, as several members have said. most German hunters have a low opinion of archery, and it's not likely to change any time soon.

Chase En Peche Isle De Anticosti!!!! My dream hunting trip canceled by Rambo the Canadian Immigration Agent in 98 so I moved to Alaska. Maybe sometime I will tell the story about that but not today, its far from a PG type story, better told at a campfire after the kids have gone to bed.
I absolutely love Montreal and was there for about two months, the food!!!!! FANTASTIC!
