Title: Monty Browning
Post by: ethan on January 12, 2007, 05:16:00 AM
It seems like I read something a while back about Monty Browning coming out with a book soon.  Does anyone know anything about that?  I think he's one of the finest writers there is.

Ditto on that one mate, IMHO he is one of the best there is in the circle of outdoor writers.

I too hope he's putting together a book on his lifes hunts. I'd buy two stright up.

PS, If someone knows Monty, give the man a little gentle nudge will ya...

I would love to read a book by Monty. I heard him speak at the Traditional Expo Michigan a couple of years ago... let me tell you, that guy is a heck of a good story teller

Kevin.

There is no nudgeing Monty. He's retired now and working his own schedule and I am very jealous. I will give him a call and see if I can get a status report.

I talked with Monty a week or two ago...he sent me some more pics for use in my powerpoint program.  I wrote a new song, inspired by his "Solitude" stories.   He did indeed hint about his book, and like Rick says, he'll do it when he does it.  I've been prodding him for a few years also.

i know a lot of you are not record book interested, but Monty will be the speaker for the saturday night shindig at the up comming P&Y gathering in PA.  hearing him speak is worth the price of the ticket.

Mark, when do we get to listen to the new tune?

One of the first things I do when I get my TBM in the mail is scan to see if he's got an article in it.
