Hello Tradgangers. I just want to reintroduce myself since I haven't posted since May of 2008. I shoot both left and right handed recurves, the lefty is an old Pearson the righty is a no-name takedown that I've heavily customized. I make my own strings (endless and flemish) and shoot most often with my wife who shoots a Martin recurve (I call it a dart flinger but she shoots better than me with half the effort :) .
Anyway, you may see my "dachba" alias a time or two.

Glad you have found your way.
Be careful- the fire is warmer than before.
Gatekeeper, I knew a Matty (casually) who shot at the local range, and at what used to be the Arrow Dynamics Archery shop (now sold to JAX Sporting Goods). I wonder if it's the same person. I guess I can ask him, eh (grin)if he's still on this site. This was some years ago and I haven't seen him on the range in at least 3-4 years. He was young (compared to me), loved to experiment with bows, but seemed to prefer reflex/deflex longbows (Pronghorns mostly), and was a real accurate shooter. I was amazed at how tight he could group. He tried to teach me and I actually improved my accuracy over time by using his higher/looser grip style. I was over bowed at the time and had some trouble with it until I finally decided it wasn't going to kill my manhood to go down in weight. He was/is a really nice guy and I enjoyed talking to him.
