I need some pics of you recurve shooters at full draw, from different angles. If I can use your pic for a design, I will get you a decal of you and if I ever do shirts you will get one of those as well. Thanks!

Wapiti at full draw. I love the shape of a Chastain limb.
Those Wapiti's certainly are nice bows. I like the look of the limbs also.

Ryan (Steadman), that one of Ryan (S2 Bowstrings) on the rocks is awesome. I would use that one if it were me and fit the design.
Here are some I did for the Tall Tines old website. I have larger originals if needed.

I used to know the answer to that. Let me think about it.

Love those pics.
some great picts.
NICE PICS OF THE PAST,,,REAL COOL,,,
Charlie, who is the archer in the blue jeans and grey felt hat on the clifftop? Can you tell the story, it is a fascinating picture!

Those are some great pictures Charlie. Definitely a thousand words or more in each!
Steadman,
There is a treasure chest of Traditional Bows Drawn on my personal (non-commercial) website (in a special section listed in the Menu) that I have been gathering for a few years now. It consists of 22 pages of 60 pics on each page - yep, that's over 1300 trad archers at full draw. I would guess probably you could count on approximately half of them being recurves. The pages are all in thumbnail pics but just click on any/all pics for the larger version (of course). I probably will capture/save (I did) all of these nice ones too - but it will be a while before I get to post this many at one time to my pages.
You (anyone) are welcome to take a look-see, as so many others have enjoyed doing (you may even see some of those of Charlie there already :D ) - anytime.

My avatar. I'll try to post a pic for the first time ever, don't hold your breath as I'm challenged in this department.

Good thing this isn't a beauty contest! :scared:  I like the up angled shot with the fluflu in Charlie's post.
Ha - this thread did me good too (besides the new FD pics for my pages). I went to make sure I was actually working on page 22 of the Traditional Bows Drawn pages, and accidentally found that my guest book link has been working again - after a couple of years of not working - though I wasn't even aware it had been fixed - :D Is that a Duh, or what?
Dryfired... That's a picture of me almost 30 years ago when I lived in the state of Wyoming.
The story behind the picture is more about the picture itself than the circumstances under which it was taken.
A friend and I were out scouting for whatever we could find, varmint calling and shooting ground squirrels.
We climbed the promontory in the picture... an isolated hill out in the sage brush desert that an old timer had told us about. He said it was a great place for bobcats and we called it "Catrock".
Calling produced nothing so we decided to take a few pictures because it was a neat place. We actually shot several different exposures of that same pose.
Later while going through the slides (slide film)I culled this picture because of the black spot that showed in it.
It was many, many years later that I was looking over those old slides when I came to this one again. In a moment of crystal clear flashback recollection I remembered that day, the smell of the sage brush and the golden eagle that circled lazily
around us.
So it wasn't just a black spot on the film, but an eagle hunting for it's next meal
And that's the story of that picture.

Great picture, Schafer.
Thanks Doug
Schafer
That is a great pic Schafer. I could use it if it had the whole bow in it.
Here is one I've done so far. Enjoy!

Very Nice looking design!
Here is a very simular picture but slightly different

Charlie, thanks very much for relaying the story of your photo. It is one of the coolest archery photos I have seen. You look deadly.
Steadman, great design! I'd be happy to wear that on the front of a shirt. Even on the pocket of a shirt would be cool. Here's another pic

Great design, let us know when you have them ready and in what formats!
That decal would look good on the rear window of my PU Truck.
I will let everyone know when they will be available as decals. Here is another one I did today.

Both of those are great Ryan. The one with the bow on the shoulder is just plain Cool!!!
Charlie Lamb's photo on the cliff is probably my all time favorite. Very, very, cool!
Both of those are really cool bud!

Steadman, I like that one at full draw. That would look good on the truck window.

I couldn't agree more! While it stands alone as a most excellent picture, the story of the eagle makes it really special.
Relly cool pics, and the drawing is very nice. Here's a few to try to balance out the thread.

Here's one of my favorite pics. Not at full draw, but I think it would work for the type of designs you're working on?

Not the best but here it is. (http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss248/barebow13/IMG_4449.jpg)
Those are great Ryan. I would like to see the first one in a treestand with some limbs and leaves around him as that is how most of us experience the hunt.
I can do that TJ! Look for a revision soon.

Here is the one for all you treestand guys. I will be doing stickers of both in the next week or so.
Great work Steadman! Is there any chance of a design without a bow-quiver attached to the bow? I think a back quiver adds a nice traditional touch to an image.
Wow!! steadman thous are some great designs! Really like that first one and the treestand one is awesome!
I thought maybe a good one would be a trad archer aiming up at a flying pheasant.
I think your going to be selling a lot of t-shirts, can't wait for them.

That's what I'm talking about. PM me when you get them ready Ryan.
That treestand one is great!!....although the one with the bow on his shoulder is still my fav.

Nice work Ryan... but Ryan (the other Ryan "S2 Bowstrings") lives in Hawaii... stick him in a coconut tree, lol.
By the way... I've been using my "got elk?" t-shirt like it's the only one I've got... my girlfriend is upset something fierce... so I'm gonna need to buy more shirts from you bro when you're ready.
