Just got these two in the mail in a couple trades.. I felt they were too pretty not to share.
The Tall Tines is the Myrtlewood 58" 51#'r I just recieved from Donald Rowan...A true beauty, great performance, and very comfortable in the grip.. Perhaps the best fitting grip on any bow that I have owned to date... which has been a "boat Load".
The second is a 58" Elburg Cheetah 50's style recurve.. 55#@27 so about 58-59# at my 28 1/2" draw length.. I have not set up the crono yet, but feel this may be one of the fastest bows I have shot to date.. I did not realize bows of this style could shoot this fast.

Both lookers for sure.
Those Elburgs will suprise you, Harry was ahead of his time.
Congrats Gene!
I absolutely love Myrtle. I have a Dryad Orion longbow in Myrtle, with an extra set of their static tip recurve limbs with yew veneers.
Enjoy them Gene and I look forward to getting home to see the Dakota limbs and put some arrows through them.
Travis
My new T.T. has Myrtle limbs, looking forward to going home and setting it up. those are two beautiful bows.
I would like to know the speed of the Elburg also, when was it made?
Congrats Gene,Donald TT is a very nice one.For sure you'll enjoy it.
enjoy,thanks for sharing,,,two great bows,,,
good looking pair.
ALL of Elburgs bows will shoot hard and fast.
Enjoy
That Tall Tines is Stupid Purty!
Couple of great looking bows there. Congrats!
Love those Elburg's...
Jonathan
You done good Gene.
Jack
That's a great looking pair....I really like the lines of a 50's style recurve!!
Gene,
The TT is a great looking bow. I have one on order and I'm about two weeks into the wait. With what I've read about the TT bows and with the beauty of the TT bows, I can patiently wait for Brian to build it! :)
Bill
Shiny looking bows
Both are great looking bows,I really like the tall tines just my weight. :bigsmyl:
What woods are in the Elburg? I ask because it looks just like an Elburg I recently traded for.
Im like the other guy the 50s recurve is cool. nice bows.
I'm Not sure but a good guess would be bubinga in the riser and pretty sure the veneers are red elm... I do know that on the scale today it came in at 60-61# at my 28 1/2" draw length.. With a smooth glove and a 450 gn Vapor 400 I got perfect holes in paper & shoot six thru the crony 196fps. x1, 198fps. x3 & 201fps. x3.. this is kind of light at 7.5 gpp, but I'm thrilled with the numbers.
Gene
Have to work on the tune a bit on the TT. As my arrows were showing stiff thru the paper. However, I did get consistant 185 fps. with that slick gloves and fingers at 8.8 gpp.
I'm pretty happy with that also.. I think some arrow pt. wt. adjustment , nock height adj. and possibly brace height adj. will increase it even more.. I do know everyone in the shop and on the range sure wanted to look at it up close and handle it. A couple guys commented that it was the prettiest bow they had ever seen.
Gene
Put me FIRST on the list if you sell the TT.
Been looking for one and that sure is nice and perfect weight for me also.
VERY nice bows you have there.
Tim
Very nice.
I really like the Cheetah I have. Mine is all osage and 62". It's is a very simple design, kinda like a double ended ski. Mine really smokes an arrow.
Glad you are liking the TT Gene. It is a sweetie. I am loving my Cari-Bow. Thanks for the trade. BTW to antler bolts are on the way
