I know that many of you were disappointed that I had to discontinue the Howard Hill Longbowmen web site, and I promised that I'd keep the material availalbe somehow.
I got my new web software (Dreamweaver CS5... which I hate. Talk about ruining a perfectly good piece of software!) Anyway, I've put in a couple of days catching up.
First, I substantially revised my personal site. I removed a lot of old personal stuff and tried to turn it into a site that clearly emphasizes the building and shooting of classic longbows.
For those who follow my building efforts, all of my previously posted building material is still there. There still is/will be some other info that is "me" oriented, primarily an exhibit of my quilts, but it is now very heavily a longbowmen's site.
I went through the Hill Longbowmen site material and deleted most of what was oriented more toward our group, as opposed to Howard and his bows. That cut the size down a lot. I added the remaining material to my site under the simple heading, "Howard Hill Bows".
At this time, I'm working strictly at the file level. I still want to go through the remaining material page by page and condense each item to what's important. Many of the pages are way too picture rich, beyond what's needed to convey the information to someone visiting. However, this can take place of a period of time.
So, as promised, the key material from the old Howard Hill Longbowmen web site is again
available, just go to: www.dickwightman.com (http://www.dickwightman.com)
