This is my third year shooting these shafts and I must say these things are incredible!! Both for flight and durability.
A few shafts I still have from 3 years ago, been through deer and many target sessions. The only ones I have broke were done by deer or if I hit an extremely hard object, like a rock.
Anyway, thought to pass this on in case anyone was thinking about trying them. Been shooting them with 200 grains up front out of bows in the low-mid 50's. Haven't found anything that flies better yet.
Same for me, I shoot them with 190 up front out of my 52-54# bows and they fly great. Put them thru deer and turkeys. They even survive the Muzzy stump shoot. I have some froma dozen I bought 5 years ago. Shawn
The stump shooting durability is pretty amazing!! Been trying to kill them on purpose just to see what they'll take.
I have some spiral flu's that will most likely get stripped down and used for hunting another season ;)
Glad to hear another positive response! Anytime I find an item that goes beyond whats expected, I love to share the info. Their not too hard on the wallet either.
Love both the 150s and 250s. With 250 gr. up front, they fly like darts. I've only managed to destroy one.....thanks to a rock! Lost a few nocks due to popping out, but the shafts are super durable.
GREAT,ARROWS,,,
i agree. the toughest shaft out there for the money. you cant go wrong with these shafts.
jim
How do these compare the the Arrow Dynamics Hammerhead shafts for durability and consistency?
Interesting. Must look into those.....
I have had the same experience, though I haven't been into the trad bows near as long. I find they work well with ALL my bows. Very good range for my purpose.
You got that right. I routinely break a few AD Tradlights when stumping, but the 150's are near bullet-proof! Both seem to fly well out of most of my bows.
yip your right for the money you wont find a more durable arrow. I really like them, add a footing to the front and they go even harder.
if you want to make them completely bulletproof, put a 1" piece of alluminum shafting over the point end. i've shot rocks, stumps, cinder blocks, you name it, and the arrows are no worse than the day i got them. the only two i've managed to break, one got bitten in half by a coyote, and the other broke off ehwn the buck i shot this year crashed into the ground.
great shafts and i'll get more when that time comes.
Just bounced one off the basement wall from 30 ft. This from a 54# RER that is smokin fast. The only damage besides the wall was the nock popped out. I do have them footed! Shawn
The only way I can break them is to Robin hood them. I did 3 of them last week at 25 yards. Guess I need to start shooting a 3 spot target.
I believe these are the greatest arrows myself! Gotta brand new doz. of 150's waiting for some TLC!!
i just set up some 90's and i like them alot. they just fly so good.
For the money you cant beat them. I have had really good luck with them.
I keep an extra couple of dozen all the time. They are all I need or want.

:scared:
I center punched a rock at a 3D range once and the guys I was with said, that one is done! Nope, popped the knock out and the field tip was curled over but shaft was fine. Great shafts! They are all I shoot.
2216 shaft epoxied and/or knurled to the outside helps them when you hit a rock face, or something like it! An inch of 2216, chamfered on the back end, weighs about 12 grains.
they are super shaft, very consistent in spine and weight, durable and tough.I am been using them for 3 years now and i prefere them much more than the GT.I would like to fid them in size 450.Most of the one I have destroyed were with Robin Hoods,or some missing against a 2"hard steel wall that I use to stop the bullets of my 300 Whaterby Mag.I had a couple browen by some 100# plus boars as well. They are still the arrow I like the most.
I got 2 dozen shafts coming as we speak. Looking forward to using these. I have the 250's coming. Hope they work for me spine wise. It was tough to decide 150 or 250 as I was splitting the diff.
Randy i don't know what is your poundage but for sure the 250 will help you in the elk woods.
Better than Beman MFX??? Who has used both shafts that can compare the two? I love the MFX but have been contemplating trying a new shaft out.
I have what is left of a dozen- and agree they are tough. My only issue is they are prone to loss as I launch them into the woods past the 3D targets !!!
They work for me! I re-fletched a few, and still have 11 left from the first dozen. Lost one to a poor shot.
I have a 150 and 250 test shaft for a month now. Don't know where to start... Want to shoot 20+% FOC. Many concerns... fractures, taking the insert out/in adding subtracting weight to get them to fly, crown dipping, broadhead alignment once insert is glued for good ect. 55lb BW 2018's w 145's currently. Anyone from Scguylkill County PA? I'll be right over. Matt
Been shooting 30" 250's with brass inserts and 125 gr tips. Fly great out of my bows from 50-60#
I'm fletching a brand new doz. 250's rt now. My 150's have been thru hell and back over the last year. Great arras fosho!
I had awesome luck w/ my 150's, super tough but my Axis 400's are giving them a run for the money.....DB
I've done pretty mean things to those cheap CX arrows. They sure can take a beating...
