Title: Magnus small game head
Post by: trad_bowhunter1965 on March 20, 2011, 02:28:00 AM
I use just about every small game head out there except for Magnus small game head, I need some feed back on how they work.

They work good. Sharpen the blade on my kme and glue it in. They blade will pull out in a tree or stump though. My favorite is the talon from red feather. Wicked little head!

The Magnus blunt was designed to take game up to and including groundhog size when the blade is used... very effective at stopping wounding loss on those.

The same with tree squirrels.

For rabbits, ground squirrels and such remove the blade and you have a devastating blunt.

It's also a great stumping head without the blade and is about as hard to lose as a Judo.

Had the same experience as Magnus - lost or broke the removable blades on almost every miss ( my most common result!!)Best regards, Todd

I have used them with success. I glue the blade in so it won't come out.

That Talon from Red Feather is a great head magnus!

Had the same results with the magnus. Great concept. Since went to the talon. Like it better than a judo and is real tough! RFA is having a sale for us right now, a good time to get them
