Just got my Zipper l/b back from 4runner he installed a beautiful set of skins on the limbs, being excited I strung it up and took a few shots with it.Well I shot about 15 shots through it when then string parted, scared me to death, doesn't look like it damaged the bow, string didn't look like it was damaged, just glad it didn't hurt the bow.

Man oh man...that will definitely make you have to change your pants! :) Hope the bow is ok sir!
-
Glad your ok, Hope the bow wasn't hurt.
-
It's understandable that you'd be shaking.
I'm glad that both you and the bow are ok.
It seems that "Murphy" never misses out on a chance to make himself known.
I thank God everything turned out as it did.
God bless,Mudd

The bow looks fine, but man what a wake up call,I'm definately looking over all my other bow strings.
-
That will sure tighten the pucker factor.
-
First couple of times a string or limb goes it will cause the pucker factor to rise, that's for sure...
Glad you and the bow escaped unscratched...
-
Ouch!
-
Did it make your skins crawl?
-
Never had such a gut wrenching feeling.

let see some pics

Tell me about it. Glad you and the bow are ok.

Happened to me in late October. No damage except for max pucker factor. Glad all is well.
-
Glad you are OK! And the bow too.
I am relatively new to archery and still wonder when to replace strings. I tend to be conservative when I get a new bow and just pick up a new string no matter what.
-
Hey Bud take good care of the Zipper or I may have to take it from you. lol
I've only had one string go on me and thankfully it didn't completely break. Most damage I had was when a nock broke on an arrow , cracked the riser. So if you can walk away without damage, thank your lucky stars.

Modern string material is so tough,I usualy give it little thought.I am terrable about not checking my strings.Especialy the strings I use to tiller bows. They get slid up and down unfinished limbs daily. It seems I'm always saying "ahh she'll be good for one more bow."Even at that I have only had a few strings break, and it is always a little unnerving.I'm glad everyone came through it o.k.,Larry.It seems strings will always either break at a loop or where the arrow is nocked. Is that the case here?

Never had a string break, but when the cracked nock gave way last year it was a real shock. Glad you and your bow are okay. :scared:
