Here's Mine
rampart 64"
47#@29" bamboo limbs/diamond-wood riser
CE 250 heritage 175g points
Custom Lakota style Quiver
It's way to early in the year for me to pick a bow, let-a-lone a set-up. Please give me at least another three months.
50 year old 1961 KS, with Easton Epic 500 spine and Razorbak 5 heads to start with I guess.
DDave
Looks like mine is gonna be a Belcher ILF riser with a set of Belcher/Sky mediums that scale 52#s on this riser. I am shooting beman 500s with 50 grain brass inserts and a 125 grain snuffers up front. Should be good for both deer and turkey. Shawn
Right now it's between the a Hoyt Buffalo that I just really tuned shooting a Traditional Only carbon 400 with a 100 grain insert and a 125 grain head . Really like it
(http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/jparanee/IMG-20110307-00399.jpg)
Or my old 560 that is a little monster throws 600 grain arrows like lightening bolts
(http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa302/jparanee/Coats018.jpg)
But I got a Silvertip on order so who knows Either way Ill be useing the Bowmate Elite back quiver and 125 grain Snuffers
For the time being, I'm going back in time next year. I'll be shooting a Bear T/D, 60#s at 28" (but shooting at 25.5"), Old bear shafts with the old green bear razorhead and bleeders and 100 grain steel adapter .... but you just never know.
70" 55#@28"yew and wenge Mahantango long bow. AD Hammer Head with Tusker single bevel broad head totaling 765gr. Eagle flight 3 arrow quiver. Sitting on the ground.

Specs in my signature below. Plus I will be using Magnus 125 gr. vented broadheads with aluminum screw-in adapters and I have 100 gr. brass inserts installed. That is if I don't try some Magnus Stingers by this fall!
Hill style longbow I made this winter.
63# @28", cocobolo riser, actionboo limb cores, black glass on the back, and clear glass over curly maple on the belly.
Ash arrows and Magnus heads.

I'm thinking this upcoming year it will be my 1966 Browning Explorer and Douglas fir arrows - 630 gr +/- w/125 gr Stos broadheads.
Unfortumately the riser swells are too big to get my Limbskinz camo sleeves over. I may have to tape it to dull it down for hunting.
I will be shooting either a '71 Super Kodiak at 45#'s or if my shoulder can handle it a '66 Kodiak at 50#'s. I'll be shooting our Phoenix three blade single bevel heads for turkey and will hopefully be shooting the two-blade single bevel head we'll be releasing soon for deer and elk.
I haven't been this excited for a season to start in a lot of years.
Mostly my shafer silvertip 60" @ #60, aluminum arrows with woodsman broadheads. I also like to use my 1970 Bear T/D 60" @ #55 couple days each hunting season also.

This is my Pronghorn Longbow 62"52@28 I shoot an Axis 500 with 165 GR Zwickey Broadhead.
and there my other pronghorn Longbow 62"51@28 I shoot the same arrow but I am working on some wood arrows to hunt with.
Not sure yet I have three to choose from. A 1966 Ben Pearson Hunter 45xx or a Astro II 45# or my new Samick Sage 45#. Just to early to say one way or the other.
Once I get my first kill with the 50 year old I will switch to my new 59 Kodiak.
I will add pics when the Kodiak arrives, probably in about 3 weeks.
DDave
I'll be shooting my BobLee Classic TD Longbow 57# @ 32" along with Heritage 250's full length. I'll have 160gr Grizzlys along with 155gr Strickland Helix heads in my quiver.
65" Sovereign Sonoran LB. Ebony riser and triple tonkin cane limbs. 55#@28.5. Full Metal jacket 400s with 200g up front. Either eskimos or stingers.
Should have it by early summer, a Big Jim's Thunder Child, 60# @ 27", in time for the autumn. Will probably shoot arrows on hand, CE Trads 250 with Centaur BH carried in a side quiver.
Last year, I shot a very heavy 2117 aluminum arrow out of my 42# recurve and a very heavy 2114 aluminum arrow out of my 37# recurve.
This year, I'm switching gears and I'm going to a lighter arrow. I plan on shooting a 2212 aluminum arrow out of both recurves. Point weight should be around 125-135 grains since I'm fine tuning both bows by adjusting their brace height.
HOOTS "Lil HOOT"-52"-#45@28
2016 aluminums with 145 steering, not sure of the head yet.
:dunno: guess we'll see when the time comes.
Most likely I will be using my 45 lb Big River.
520 (total weight) Grain Doug Fir Arrows 130 Stos up front. I have been playing back and forth with 55-60 spine and 50-55. Both seem to work well.
Hoyt Buffalo #55 @28 60", Cabelas 400 hunter carbons that I stripped the vanes off of and fletched with 3 5" left wing feathers and added 150 grains of weight to them and a 125 gr. Muzzy MX 4. Arrows weigh in at 625.
My Stalker recurve drawing 52@25 however I do have a Dale Dye Medicine Point coming in November w/ 2 sets of limbs!
my new Brack Quest,62",59#@28"
and my new Cari-Bow Silver Fox, 62",55#@28"
AD Trad arrows 31" with 100 gr brass insert and 300 extreme three blades.

My Black Canyon longbow 64" 53#@28" with 4 fletched Goldtip Traditionals 5575 with 100gr BH adapter & 160gr VPA Terminators.
I switch bows like I change socks so this is really going out on a limb:
62" Holm Made Osprey hybrid longbow, 50# my 31" draw. 32-3/4" Carbon Express Maxima 250 arrows with 125 gr. WW mounted on 125 gr. steel adapters for a total weight of 540 gr.
I am shooting a Morrison metal mini riser with a
osage grip, and a set of Dryad static tip long
carbon weave ILF limbs on it. It is 58" long.
I am shooting Beman ICS 400 arrows with .145 up
front. It shoots spot on now that I positioned
the nock 5/8 above center. Poundage 45-50.
new to me PCH
just traded for a psax 54# 58inch can't wait!
Not sure yet for turkey season. But it will be difficult to say "no" to this blue stripe Super Kodiak I picked up over the winter. This group is at about 21 yards.
(http://images.imagelinky.com/1300650382.jpg) (http://images.imagelinky.com/1300650382.jpg)
The other 2 in the running for turkey season are a 1962 Grizzly and a Hill Country Wildcat.
Arrows with the SK are GT 3555s with 180gr up front. If this is the set up will likely use a Ben Pearson Deadhead up front with a weighted adapter.

Dan, I feel so sorry for you having to work with equipment that is not ever properly broken in. Hope you can manage.
DDave
Shafer Silvertip 54# at 28" ( drawn a little over 30") 2117 with 125grn muzzy phantom's. I've been shooting this same bow for almost 2 years now. That's unheard of around here! :D
Jason
Agreed Dave, that SilverFox is simply amazing Danny.
I am expecting a Black Canyon recurve in a month or so. Hopefully it will be my 2011 pick. If it's no good it will be 1/4 aways fault.
