Dude you're makin my mouth water! Just got home from turkey chasin and had a plate of crawfish fettucine, but I think I could still find room for jambalaya and frog legs.
My wife is from LA, and I lived in Shreveport for 5 years previously! Man, do I miss the viddels!!!

Laisser les bons temps rouler, Ayyeeee. :bigsmyl: :clapper: :archer2:
Not today. Never heard a gobble. I just had a hen feed past at at 25 yards. Might try again in the am.
That looks awesome! Wish I could be there.
Best road trip I ever had when I was a traveling maintenance guy for an Industrial Water Treatment facility was when I got to go down to Louisiana in late March early April. Man I love those boiled crawfish! We never ate at a single joint that didn't have them on the menu.
Some of the best Jambalaya I ever ate was at a Flea Market one Saturday afternoon if you can believe that?
Makes me wish I could hop on a plane and spend about a month down there. From St. Louis I could be there before sundown if I left right now.
Yeah right, like that's gonna happen. Never hurts to dream though, thanks for bringing back some fond memories.
I will be float calling for a buddy next week. He'll have a bow and I'll be "backup" with the 3 1/2" BPS!LOL
Does anyone know how to resize pics?
Here ya go, I just wrote these up for a guy the other day and saved them for such an occasion.
"Move your mouse over your picture in photobucket and a menu will drop down. In the blue bar right under the pic you will see "Share/Edit/Delete/Move" click on "Edit"
When the picture comes up on the edit screen, you will see a series of buttons at the top as follows "Auto Fix/Red Eye/Crop/Resize" click on "Resize"
Then you will see 2 sliding buttons to the upper right next to the size dimensions. Move the height and width buttons until it says 640 x 480 and then just to the right of the buttons you will see 2 check boxes. The first box says "Use Percentages" and the other says "Keep Proportions" you want to check the "Keep Proportions" box. Then go down to the bottom of the page and click "Replace Original" this will resize the picture so you can copy it here. As long as that box that says "Keep Proportions" remains checked, all your pictures that you upload to Photobucket in the future will automatically be resized to those dimensions."
You know things are getting serious when someone breaks out the shovel to cook! :campfire:
I'll be back down there in July for the Tarpon Rodeo. Meeting some friends from Baton Rouge there for a week of eating, drinking and relaxing.
With any luck We can squeeze in a couple of days of Bowfishing.

All of my 19th century French and Irish ancestry is from Cheneyville, Bunkie and Mansura and I moved to Tulsa from Baton Rouge in 1981. Worst mistake I ever made and I always find myself looking back. Big pots of jambalaya like that are the real deal and you are so fortunate to live in that land.
