This book is free to download and can be read by anyone with a computer and free Adobe Digital Editions. I have been reading it on my Nook. Saxton published this in 1923 and did some very thorough empirical testing of bows, arrows and took the approach of a primitive archer. Amazing book. And the story of Ishi of course.

Thanks, just ordered it on my Kindle.
Great book, I bought it in paperback in 1973 and took it to college with me. Read it so much it fell apart.
They worked hard for those grizzly's and to show people that archery equipment can kill animals.
