I got these 100gr field tips in a trade and have been wondering what they are. Haven't tried them in a 3d target yet, but they seem like they will pull easily. Also what is the plastic green insert for?

Satellite Slik Tips are designed to ease shaft removal from all types of foam targets....
Those are called Slick tip points. I think they were originally marketed by Sattelite and now they are sold by Trophy Ridge. The green plastic is to make them (Slick) to pull out of 3-D targets and such..Henry
I also notice the point is larger than the shaft to extract easier.
Thanks for the quick reply fellas. I'll give them a whirl at the next 3D and see how they perform.
GOOD TIPS,,,,
Wow, I just looked up the price of these things, and you would think they have some special 3D foam X ring seeking abilities. They are well over a $1 a piece. Im way to hard on field tips for that price.
