Just wanted to say thanks to all the members of this site. I just went back into the traditional archery after many years. Bought myself a new rig with some arrows and have been shooting for a couple hours everyday for the last week. I was having problems shooting left a few inches at ten yards and a few more left at twenty. I joined the site for all the great knowledge that is found here. After reading several posts on this site I tried different weight on the arrows I tried stiffer spined arrows I even tried shooting split finger insted of three under. Then I read a post on releasing too far away from your face. Today I tried different things and then I tried to burry my thumb as far under my bottom jaw that I could (something I've never done before). WOW what a difference. I can now shoot 3" groups at twenty yards and know I will get better with more practice. So Thanks for the ideas, you definately helped me out
I'm glad you found the help you needed to get things going in the right direction.
Knowing where to look for those answers sure helps a ton and Tradgang is a great resource.
It sure sounds like you've got it under control now.
God bless,Mudd
Thanks Mudd, I wished I had found this site 15 years ago when I first started with traditional gear. I probably would have stayed in the game longer
