62" 55#@28" I can't figure out how to use stu's calculator, to figure if the arrows im shooting are ok for the set up or do i need to tweek them They all shoot ok but. I checked the actual draw weight with my easton digital scale and it's drawing at 57# cnnsistantly, my actual draw is 28" in shootong woods, 29.5" 3 5" feathers 125 gn ft.= 520 total gns. also shooting G/T Traditionals 5575 30.5" with 3 4" feathers 140 gn ft.= 462 total arrow weight. All arrows are crested. Thanks for any help. Oh Im not sure of the string strands or material. :dunno:

What spine are your woods? I think a 70-75 spine should work for that bow.
-
Sorry, 55-60 spine.
-
Those 55-60 will be way too weak.
-
what i thought, how about the 5575 G/T Traditionals.?
-
Sorry, I know nothing about carbons. But if that 5575 means 55-75 spine, I would guess they would work. Someone else will chime in for you.
-
Thanks shedrock.

Also have some 2117 31.5 32" will these spine for me.

My longbow 55# at my DL shoots a 55-75 just fine. They are 29.5" with 200 up front. As far as aluminum go, I shoot 29.5 2018 with 125 up front and 2020s with 200up front. The 2117s might be a little stiff. Hope this helps. Andy

That 55/75 designation drives me nuts. If you said the spine was .500 or .400, we could all help you, AND it would be much simplier for you to change arrows. Which you should do. I believe we should boybott manufacturers the don't use spine.

5575 and 2117 are .400 spine.

I think that the "approximate" range of the draw weight to shoot them in compound bows(55-75) assuming 30" DL.
-
I can't figure the calculator out, and was hopin sombody could run the figures an the listed above shafts to see if any will work for the bow. :dunno:

Dale,
If you will let me know the center cut strike plate position (+, 0 or -) and is your string Fast Flight (how many strands) or is it B50. These 2 things have a bearing on the calculations. Also what type of wood and what diameter is it? I will plug the numbers in and see what it shows. I can make some guesses on some of this, but I am glad to help you. We may have to PM back and forth to get there but I will be glad to give you some help. We can get you your numbers, no sweat. Bob
