I have an opportunity to buy a kodiak magnum for a very reasonable price, the only question is that the finish seems to have a lot of crazing in it most specifically on the limbs with horizontal lines running across the limbs in quite a few places, It seems to be just in the finish, not in the glass and I drew the bow and it draws smooth, no cracking or popping, I did not shoot the bow yet but no discernible limb twist either, it has not been drilled in any way but does have a hole for a stabilizer, it has green glass, no idea when it was manufactured. Any help as to whether or not I can use it as a shooter or not would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, FUDD
I have two of the same bows and both are in the condition you describe. Both shot extremely good and have for years.
Buy it, you won't be sorry
James...............
thanks very much for the reply, I will get to shoot it tomorrow hopefully, I need a short bow to take on trips and this walked into the local bow shop tonight so I may just own it tomorrow!
Not an issue. Buy it. Shoot it.
Agree.
Just strung one of mine up tonight. You can't go wrong.
I have many most in the same condition, all good shooters.
thanks guys! Really appreciate all the feedback, I will let you know how it shoots!
i had a 67 mag in that condition.it was a great shooter,steve
I think it needs a little shorter string and is a little noisy but for the price I could get used to it. What is the proper brace height for one? thanks!!!
I like it at 8" and all of mine are really quiet!
