I was going thru the Sponsors Classified and see show season is over and Brian has some recurves AND longbows in stock for sale.
There are some beauties in there!

I'll second this post, nice stuff. Not much for the lefties though, he'll have to work on that.
I just checked....I didn't see anything! What's up? Ya'll had me excited !
Sorry Steve, I went straight to the site, didn't see the link. Very nice!
I'm just wondering if anyone that own's a tall tines shoots a 58" or 60" bow and draw's it to 30"?
All mine are 60" and I draw 30" to my clicker. Smooth as butter...
Steve if you don't mind me asking, what is the riser length on you 60" bows?
Thanks, Glen
Those Tall Tines are mighty tempting.
Glen, I have 2 short risers and one long. It is very hard to tell the difference. The long riser is my newest so of course it is the one I am shooting the most right now and "feels" the best. One day this spring I have to line them all up, set up the chrono, and do some testing.
As far as lefties go, I know he had one at the Trad Expo last weekend. It may have sold, I'd call or send a note. My buddy picked up a LH TT Longbow at Kalamazoo and he cant put it down. See here:
TT Longbow thread (http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=101219)
Nice bows and great looking woods!
How long is the short riser Steve? I'm trying to get an idea of how it would feel compared to some of my current bows. I don't want to bother Brian with phone calls while he'e working on bows LOL. Thank's again
Wow! Really like the myrtle riser with the myrtle limbs. Brian has a great eye for wood combinations.
I knew I shouldn't have looked at those !LOL absolutely stunning!
I must not buy. I must not buy. I must not buy that grey riser 64 inch eyesore. Yep it's ugly boys. You don't want that one... :readit:
Can the moderators please delete this thread...it's getting expensive for me!!
Glen,
The long is 18" and the shorts are 16"
AND
I miscounted, I've got 3 short and 1 long. They are great bows!
Mike,
You just HAVE to bear hunt with a TT longbow... :wavey:
Thanks Steve
That first bow, the all black one would make a sweet turkey bow. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmmmmmmmm!
i like the myrtle riser and limbs too ,looks good
Hey Steve I was shooting my TT longbow today with Frank. There was alot of nock slapping going on. Only I was shooting those cool bamboo shafts with self nocks. No broken nocks for me, HA, HA. :biglaugh:
i have a Tall Tines coming, soon as it is in the mail, i will ask someone to post a picture that Brian sent me.
I like olive Ash Burl,I think it can blend well with my Macassar riser.
I like that Walnut riser w/camo limbs.
the black phenolic riser and black glass limbs brings a smile to my face. very cool.
nice! the all black looks pretty stealth. the all myrtle is incredible.
is the phenolic riser a short or long riser in the stock bows?
Shawn
I think I shot that 46# one at the Traditional Expo in Waterloo last weekend. It really liked my 1916's! Very nice, smooth, fast, and hit where you looked!
All the recurve stock bows are the standard (short) riser length. There is only one riser length for the longbow.
Reduce the weight on the limbs for bow #5 to 50# and mate them with the riser for bow #8 and send it to me. :bigsmyl:
I'm updating the Tall Tines website this morning, so you may want to visit it later today (3/10/11).
Just finished updating the stock bows, options, and the field photos pages. . . also posted a new bow image on the homepage.
ttt
I saw them at Waterloo. Beautiful bows!!!
Good looking bows!!!

One more time for Brian...
I'm waiting for Donald Rowan to get home and send me the beautiful 58" all myrtlewood Tall Tines R/C  I traded him a Silver Fox for recently. Donald says it will start my way on Thursday. Mine starts the trip "back" to him tomorrow.
Those TT bows bows sure look nice. I can't wait to see if it's all everyone says it is... If she shoots as nice as she looks
Gene :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :jumper:
I'll be camping out by my mailbox tomorrow. :D
I ordered a new TT recurve last week. It'll be 62" with the 18" riser and medium limbs. The riser will be Rosewood Dymondwood with a Walnut Dymondwood center accent stripe. I'm having trouble deciding what I want on the limbs. I initially told Brian I wanted black glass over Actionboo cores. Then I sent another email and asked him to stain the Actionboo to match the dark grain in the Walnut Dymondwood. He responded back and suggested a Walnut stain and I responded that sounded great.
Then I went to his stock bows and saw the Waterfall Bubinga and sent another email telling him I would like to change the order to Waterfall Bubinga veneers. Then this morning I got to thinking the Waterfall Bubinga would not be a very good contrast with the Rosewood Dymondwood and I sent another email changing the veneers to Claro Walnut, if he offers Claro Walnut as an option.

PS Decisions, decisions!!!
I ordered mine at Kalamazoo - now the wait.
LOVE the way mine shoots! They are smooth and super fast fosho!
My recurve is Zircote w/ Myrtle limbs.
Good quality bows!
The only complaint I have on the bow is the riser finish. I talked to another owner asking him if he had the same problem and he said he did, so maybe it's not just me. The finish just lacks "toughness" I guess is the word I'm looking for. Very good looking finish...until it starts chipping off. I can flake it off w/ my fingernail if I want to...which I don't. Bow is about 8 months old. Scratches easily. Wierd because my limbs seem to be the exact opposite.
You guys are funny, this thread sold 4 bows (last time I looked)
Mike... you should pass that on to Brian... I'm sure he'd like to hear of any issues with his work.
Green actionwood riser w/olive ash burl limbs 64" 45#@28" RH
If this was 10 lbs heavier it would be on its way to ny.

Brian contacted me thru PM....and even tho I am not the 1st owner of this bow he is going to take care of it. Will be shipping out tomorrow!
I hear they make great hog clubs too! :archer2: :deadhorse:
Just some info regarding my finish. At one time I tried using a catalyzed varnish after it was suggested to me. I found that although the finish was very nice it didn't have the durability that we need in the field. Since then I have used an epoxy finish that holds up very well and sprays nice.
I heard that the bow finish is virtually hog proof!:^)

BEAUTIFUL WORK, Brian!

I emailed Brian and got pricing and what I need to find for the camo. Being on the Mossy Oak prostaff I'm leaning towards the old school original "Bottom Land" pattern if I do it. I've gotta call a few guys at MO to see if they know where I can get that pattern on cotton netting. Those sure look awesome!
I think they look sweet too Mike... glad you're getting hooked up!
GOOD LOOKING,GOOD SHOOTING...
Couple more left gang
i just bought the chechen/ myrtle 58" one
Man....those camo limbs sure would look great on a green actionwood riser.
I've bought 2 of Brian's recurves, and they are great shooters. I haven't had the chance to shoot a longbow, but I'm sure they shoot as good as the recurves.....anybody have a leftie longbow I can borrow for a couple weeks :biglaugh:
Let's get these last ones sold gang
Two more to go... (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=48;t=001447)
