I've had both.My choice is the EFA it's more compact and balances the bow very nicely.I also really like the extension bar for the bottom section. It keeps the arrows behind the bottom limb. And i like the velcro attachment system better than the rubber straps. The EFA are the only quiver i've used that made the bow quieter.

Like my Kanati, would like to try an EFA someday. I think they are very similar from what I've read. With that said just bought two GN's and really like them.

Really like how I can turn the hood around on my kanati and have the fletch end of arrows run toward the front of the bow protecting them more. Not sure if the EFA does that or not and wish I could do that on the GN's

Here is the GN's.

Carefully consider what your getting when buying a product........Even though both quivers are totally diffrent from each other in some respects. Both represent alot of dedication to building a great product. Feel free to call either if you have questions.

Most products I purchase,in my mind, can be improved on in some way. I can honestly say that my Kanati's don't fall into that category. I have been so impressed with the 2 that I have that I'll be getting another soon.

Wish I could comment on the EF quivers but I have no experience with them. They do look like a quality product! From what "guys in the know" say....you will be impressed with both!

I don't really like bow quivers, but when I use one, it's the Kanati.  Rock solid, no slip mounting and dead quiet. Fits four of any broadhead you want to throw in it.  I just ordered another yesterday.

I have been using a Kanati and have just ordered a Slim Jim from them aswell.  Excellent quality and great people to deal with.  I have not tried the EFA so I can't compare the two.

I have an EFA and I really like it. Never used a Kanati so I can't comment on that. The EFA fits tight on both my recurve and my longbow, it does not move at all. It's a little tight getting four 4-blade broadheads in there but they will fit. I pretty much only use 2-blade heads so it's a non-issue for me.

I have used them both...along with many other bow quivers and I'd say you narrowed it down to the two that fit MY needs the best.  I love them both for different reasons, but find myself using the EFA more these days.  Don't have anything bad to say about the Kanati, but use the EFA more now.

They are both great quivers!

My daughter & boys and I have 7 or 8 Kanati Quivers and cannot find fault with any of them.  Well made and good looking with many choices of leather and hides.  A superior product from a consumate archer and bowhunter.  We have two piece and one piece and Slim Jims.  All perform flawlessly and really add a quality look to your bow.  I would highly recommend the Kanati.

Bow quivers are like cars. That's why they make so many different kind. I appreciate it when someone says I like this product, but then admits that he hasn't tried the other one. I hate it when a guy who goes on about how great something is when he hasn't tried anything else. Also, both companies  have made improvements in our products. I believe that it can only be better when there is good competiltion. Hey, just look at Fred Bear and Ben Pearson. That rivalry gave us some darn good bows and other products.

I have two E.F.A. quivers and both are light but I also like the looks of the Kanati quivers and Lee Hoots explained to me last week about the new Slim Jim can be laid on the lap while hunting and you won't notice the quiver is there due to being flat...I'm thinking seriously of getting one soon for my New Hoots Recurve but haven't decided on the color choice I want...Maybe someone can help me pick out the color to match the Ziricote riser and Olive ash burle limbs with lots of moose horn on my Hoots...I like the looks of the hooded styles but now that Lee explained to me about the Slim Jim's design I like the thought process  that was put into the design of it...

I own both the Kanati and EFA strap on quivers. Function wise, they are very simular. The difference I notice is weight. The Kanati is heavier in weight. I use them according to the bow I'm shooting. Mt 64" TD Blacktails have plenty of mass weight already so the EFA gets the nod on those bows. If I want to add a bit od weight to a one piece or light bow, the Kanati gets the nod.

Have the Kanati Slim Jim Pro, love it. 3 broadheads and a 1 blunt (keep and extra broadhead for the blunt in my lumbar pack just in case). It's perfect.

Lies flat on the ground (quiver down) which is pretty convenient.

"Bow quivers are like women".
You know... I never thought of it quite like that. And I'm not sure I can see the resemblance!
I've tried neither. BUT, this thread has solved a question for me as I've been to both sites recently. Get one of each. Now that I can agree with.
A Slim Jim and Cherokee Totem are my choices.

I took the plunge.  I just ordered a Slim Jim Pro.  I like the concept.  Would have like four covered BH 's but we'll see how three works.

Got it in black with red lacing to match my new PL.  Should see it perhaps this week.

I have had them both if I had to pic one it would be.........I couldnt! I like the EFA on certain bows, my kids love them on theirs and I like the Kanati on others.

After looking at Johns site if I ever get my 3 piece going it will have a limb bolt quiver by him, that thing looks perfect. I am kind of partial to the name "Kanati" too  :D

I went back to where I said something like, "Bow quivers are like women. Each have their advantages and their limitation". After thinking about it, I've decided this could be taken wrong, and have deleted that statement. I have nothing but respect for the women in my life and appoligize to anyone who may have been offended.

At EFA we make more different sizes and hood styles than any one else in the industry. We also offer them with limb wrap, limb bolt, and side mount attachments, a "totem" shaft which makes it a one piece quiver, and our "wing" attachment which gives the arrow set back needed for many of the short recurves that are now popular.

Our website is being updated now. Soon these new items will be on there. As usual, we always appreciate your thoughts on any new products. Thanks for your support.

Don,

The totem idea is great. Since I already had a Cherokee, I made my own totem out of a carbon shaft I had Robin Hooded a while back. I love it. My quiver stays put, plus I can slip it off and set it aside when I am in my ground blind, so the nocks stay out of the dirt.

I haven't tried a Kanati, but I can vouch for the EFA quivers. If I were ordering a new quiver it would be an EFA with the totem!

i like my kanati pro /aneewakee addiction combo as seen here (http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt101/broketooth/scoutingthecroatan002.jpg) im about to step up to a slim jim quiver. i beleive john has reset the benchmark for bow quivers. this is the slickest design ive ever seen. there is nothing out in the archery market like it. i think john is very creative and innovative and original. i dont think you can recreate the slim jim without copying it. ruddy

I'll stick with my Great Northern-best quiver ever made! Easy on and off and stays put.
I bought an EFA-IT's made well but it vibrates loose after a few shots-Don't need that aggrivation.

If you EFA is vibrating loose, you're not putting it on tight enough I believe...

Broke in my new EFA Totum last weekend...

•  (http://www.tradgang.com/upload/curt/P1040076bama.JPG)

It's a Cherokee with the biggest hood Don makes, angle bracket, and the 5 arrow gripper...super light and solid as a rock!

Perfect for my new longbow

I made it as tight as it could be done-The problem is there is no connection between top and bottom and on my longbow the bottom works itself loose just enough to dislodge the arrows.
Aside from that if need be you can't take the quiver off and rest it somewhere as you can with a Great northern. Again because it is 2 piece. To each his on I say!

LS, there is something that you're doing that's not right. Give me a call and let's figure out what it is. The talon system will tighten down on just about any kind of bow limb if it's installed properly.

My EFA Navaho with the Totem cannot be beat, and I prefer it slightly over my 2 piece EFA because the Totem keeps the quiver perfectly in position and allows it to be removed as a single unit. I also have a Kanati Slim Jim -- the best quiver made for two blade broadheads, but that is all it will hold. Could there be improvements on either of them? Probably, but I am not sure what most people would consider an improvement if a change were made to them. I suspect there would be many folks upset about any change to either of them, even if other folks liked the change. They are both outstanding quivers as produced -- my favorites of any. Don and John are both good people and a pleasure to deal with. I'm sure glad we have both these guys around.

I fully endorse Kanati ..

First, I personally talked with John when ordering and his patience and recommendations were much appreciated.

Second, there were some serious issues with non-delivery, and John made good on getting me my quiver without any questions.

Third, the workmanship is excellent, and it acutally balanced out my 1958 KS just as John said it would.

I've promised John I'd send him a pic of a 6x6 Bull Elk next year (knock on wood) after taking a cow Elk this year.

You won't go wrong with a Kanati ... and you won't regret it.
