Title: arrows and feathers

These are my first primitive arrows using bamboo,turkey feathers from stringstretcher, obsidean knapped arrowheads and buffalo horn nocks.

thes are my first spliced feathers following the instructions in our how-to resources section by bard1.

Beautiful work, hitman. Charlie does his feathers proud, and those points are killers.

The nocks have a small shaft cut down that fits inside the bamboo shaft. The shafts are really tough and these are spined out at 55-60.

Really nice job. I wish we could use stone points in Idaho to hunt big game, but we can't. You did a great job knapping and building your arrows. Even a helical on your feathers. Make sure to post pictures of your success using them.

You are a skilled artisan . If they where self knock , and not to expensive i' buy them .

Way to go hitman. I just started reading Pope's "Hunting with the bow and Arrow"... between that and these beauties, I'm startin to get the itch    :eek:

Beautiful arrows, maybe the best I have seen. Those heads are scary!
