Below are a number of carpet targets I've created at a cost of under $10.00. Most are rolled into four layers, turkey and rabbit excluded. I ran bailing wire from tree to tree, suspending most larger targets. The cardboard heads were affixed to trees with wire as well. After rolling into four layers each target was bound with wire in two places, completely surrounding the target. Small stakes were driven into the ground behind smaller targets to affix heads. The carpet was free!

Very nice looking targets. Would the arrows penetrate and stay in from a 45 lb. bow? I mean not bounce off. I would like to try it. Foam targets are getting expensive.

Very nice and ingenious
Wish I had your imagination.

That is cool, good job.
What a great idea! You not only have some fine targets to shoot at, but the satisfaction of making them cheaply. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

48# Spirit longbow
45# Martin Hunter recurve
Mike,my 45# curve draws 50 @ 30" approx. and has no trouble stayin. You always have the option of reducing layers as well. You're the boss and have fun.
These are the best instructional pics for turkey hunting I've ever seen. I'm impressed and appreciative as I now have a great visual aid to demonstrate how to with my rookie friends. Thanks
:clapper: :clapper: Great Job....
