Title: Huntmore 360, What do you guys say who used them this past deer season?
Post by: Gen273 on March 07, 2011, 01:38:00 PM
After hunting with one for a year, what do you think about the chair?

Thanks for the info!!!

And I have already done a search, but I am looking for new info.

I didn't use it enough to formulate an opinion. Having said that, it's quiet and comfortable, but also a bit cumbersome for my female self.

I had it set out from Oct.15- Jan.1 in a pop-up that I moved 3 times. The roof came down twice during that time. The chair was still silent, and comfortable each and every hunt. It is a bit heavy and cumbersome for me to move, but if I was sitting for extended periods it would be my first choice.

I like to be comfortable so I use mine almost every time I hunt. I don't think it's too heavy or bulky, it weighs 6 lbs less than my climber. Two years ago I shot a deer from it, dragged the deer out that night and left the chair overnight, it didn't mind.

left mine in the swamp for half of the season. I think even the pigs used it. No signs of wear, my wife loves it too. Super quiet and able to hold up big fat men of 325#'s and more in a single bound. And that is also why I sell them.

Used mine one time and got rid of it...too heavy and cumbersome to pack around the way I like to hunt.  I ground blind hunt but build several so can't leave a seat in each of them.  Nice, comfortable seat but way too much for me. The words "over built" come to mind.

I hunt from the ground in a ghillie suit and pack my 360 with me wherever I go. When I first got mine I thought I would hate it but now I'd feel lost without it.

I shot one of my deer and a turkey last season using my 360 stool. Several times I just left it in my pop-up blind or natural ground blind so that I didn't need to carry it with me the next day.

Other times I carried it in and out with me each day. In some of those situations I use a bow sling that I bought years ago (from my wheelie days) at at the Deer & Turkey Expo here in WI. It's rubber and is like a gun sling, but the ends have parachute cord with adjustable slides. I attach those to the 360 while it is assembled and carry it like your would a back quiver and then just set it on the ground and your ready to go!

On my property I have a lot of swamp ground and the large duck feet really work well. I have gotten busted from noise several times when using other chairs/stools when trying to position myself for the shot and dumb thing made a noise or the fabric on the seat made some noise and the jig was over! I haven't had that problem with a 360 and the silent range of motion that your have for shooting with the swivel seat is a real plus.

For me........the seat back sits entirely to upright. I also couldn't find a good comfortable way to carry it with my backpack on. Excellent quality and easy to set-up though. Waldrop PacSeat works GREAT for me.

Quality is outstanding, have used it for two seasons now. Very comfortable...BUT, I do not like carrying it around almost like carrying a treestand. If you do not move around much and you spend most of the day in a single blind, then it is great. I trade off between the Huntmore and a light chair. Honestly, if I knew what I know now I don't think I would have purchased it, but I am not going to get ride of it and I will use it.

Just read Winterhawk1960 post and I do agree that the back does sit up too striaght, there are some adjustments with the legs that can be used to compensate, but the back could be improved.

Please do not think that I am unhappy with the Huntmore, I am not, I just don't think you can expect everthing from a single chair.

Seems to me that everyone is saying the same thing on this post, and all the others like it. If your hiking in quite a ways before set-up, the Huntmore 360 is just too cumbersome. If you  leave it set-up in the woods on public land where I hunt, there is a good chance it will be gone when you return. I have no doubt it is extremely comfortable and the swivel mechanism is nice. If your hunting out of a blind go for it, but the way I hunt with my Guille on public land, the Huntmore is just not practical.  :campfire:

Mine squeeked everytime I moved. Also, unless you take the time to completely undo it and put it back in the bag, it's a pain to carry in and out. I used mine in the duck blind and it was just fine for that. For everything else, I went back to the Waldrop seat.
