I told Oliverstacy this morning that I planned on doing some shooting today but because it's so yucky outside I'd be doing it all indoors unless the weather changed.
After getting all my my routine stuff done(feeding dogs and such) I decided to open up my new dvd from the Wensel brothers(Essential Encounters, Primal DreamsII).
This video will make you want to shoot your bow guaranteed!
Anyway I was keeping a close eye on the Wensels' shooting style and decided to give it a try. I mean heck I can only shoot 10 yards so what can go wrong?

God bless,Mudd
BTW: This is my 1st miss in the house. I guess I knew that it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Hey my left and right were perfect.
I think I'll do my experimenting outside from now on.
Sounds logical to me, it's Gene's and Barry's fault. I know I would never blame myself, I learned that from my wife.
Jack
Seems like sound logic to me. Rarely is anything ever my fault.
What do you think they'll say when you send them a bill for the repairs?

That's good!
Good place to hang the coat.

I may not be intelligent but I'm way smarter than to try that....lol
God bless,Mudd
Mudd, I've got a hole in one of my walls where I let a young man shoot in my basement. It got away from him while drawing back. I had him sign next to the hole with a sharpie and my wife was real proud of us both. No point in patching such a small hole and a great conversation piece. You might have to pull your arrow to get yourself out of hot water...but hey, it's just a tiny hole. Memories are made with a stick and string.
It adds character to your home!
It happened to me once at fishing camp...unfortunately I was using a judo point and the hole in my paneling became much larger when I removed the arrow...again, great conversation piece!
my garage door still have a broad head stuck in it with multiple field point holes for company.
Mudd,
Don't send them a bill, just invite them over for dinner then have them autograph the hole. Then you can leave it there and the wife will have a conversation piece, ( so maybe she won't complain).
Just be sure you fix PLENTY of food, those boys can EAT!
Windage looks good, just have to work on the elevation a little. :biglaugh:
time for litigation....self induced property damage while under the influence of their products. i did the same thing to my parents house when i was 16. i was about 1/2" away from what appeared to be a gas line in the wall. come to think of it, i think i was watching october whitetails at the time...
It's clear to see that there's nothing wrong with your aim....the target ducked the string
:scared:  :goldtooth: :biglaugh:
Yep, character! Now all you need is to Robin Hood it!
Gene and Barry taught me to eat, its their fault I'm fat!
When I was a child I shot a hole through my uncle's walk-out basement door. He didn't have me sign the hole, but he didn't tan my hide either. 40 years later I'm still glad he was so forgiving.(you might mention that to your wife...it may not help, but you never know.)
yip those dam bag targets are real string jumpers once indoors!
The shot is fine...target is just a bit too low, Mudd!
That little hole, try hitting a antique wooden chest and see how the wife likes it.lol.
Just leave the arrow there and hang a coat from it! Don't need to explain anything that way. It was simply a case of creative home maintenence.....
Plastic filler comes in that color, I think. If it don't, it should. lol
If that's a wooden arrow, just cut it off, sand till flush, and stain it.
Mudd
Just put a crate under your target and the hole is fixed. Lol. I'll have to remember that excuse.
Mudd
I'm thinking that is a wood arrow(not aluminum) and I hope there aren't any electrical lines behind the hardboard! I just ordered the DVD so don't know what kind of shot you were trying to accomplish. Nice arrow though. LOL . I've been there done that also. Will watch DVD when it gets here and only shoot in the yard!
Ken
Well, I think I know what went wrong for you Mudd...Gene shoots 3 under off the shelf. Barry shoots split finger of an elevated rest...nothing they do shooting wise is similar; it is no wonder you went haywire :knothead: :D
I have a small hole in my garage door my wife can't seem to forget. I got a lot more education from the one in the wall in the garage. DID YOU KNOW THAT A 5/8 INCH PEICE OF PLYWOOD WON'T STOP AN ARROW OUT OF A 62# BOW. AMAZING AIN'T IT.
I wonder how many of us have done that one time or anther, and then hurry to cover it up...
Good Penetration! I bet a shoulder bone has nothing on wood paneling
Great experiment ;)
The ONLY time I EVER tried a mechanical release (back in my compound days), 1985 it was, a friend tried to get me to try one. I drew an arrow in the living room of my rental, started pulling her back, and promptly sent an arrow into the paneling. Moved a picture on the wall to cover the spot and NEVER tried a release again. Switched to stickbow in 1988 and haven't looked back.
I spent all day repairing sheet rock mud more mud paint in the bed room adjoenjng the basement shooting gallery. I think I got by with it. 22 bullets goes through 2 walls.

Or shoot another one to one side and make a bow rack out of them.

Yeah...I'm not going to take credit for any of this! :biglaugh:
Looks like the bag ducked the arrow! Was the bag feeding or on high alert?

Josh, you gotta know that the bags are always on high alert in Mudd's domain - there are bows 'n arras in all the corners and everywhere in between. :p
