Title: AP Cumberland -- (yet another trigger pulled )-
Post by: on March 06, 2011, 10:10:00 AM
In keeping with the recent trend (feeding frenzy) on the Hill-style longbows, I have pulled another trigger.

Got in touch with Marty this evening and asked him to add me to his list for a Cumberland.

Reasons:  Marty's good reputatation here, he is a sponsor, and I want another quality string-follow bow.  Covers all the bases..

I'll have to wait for 6 to 8 months but it'll be worth it...don't you think?

Ken, it was a toss up between the bow you ordered and the cumberland.  I am going to try my best to meet you at Denton Hill in July.

RC, I have heard you say that many times (actually mentioned that to Marty).  You are the main reason I took a look.

Don't think you will be disappointed with your choice. Marty is fairly anal when it comes to his bow making.

Well then, I'm sure the Cumberland will meet or exceed all expectations.

IMO, successful and happy artists will pour all of their intention into their craft because it is an expression of who they are...."fairly anal" is synonymous with world class quality.

Mudd,
No specific specs just yet.  Too far down the road...probably October or later.

Well I do not own a Cumberland but I do own an Ossabaw...and another to me soon. Marty builds great bows and anal or not, they are smooth, flawless killin' machines. The one I have is goin' nowhere and the one comin' is a purtier sister of the one I got. She's gonna stay too. You did good picking Marty to build you a bow. You will in no way be disappointed  :)

Has anyone had experience with his take-down system install?  I see he uses the connexion but can't see any pics that reveal the back of the bow.

Doesn't matter, I'm happy to have a place in line.  will probably do a "hinge-a-long" on my HH with Rob and the gang when I get home...

The Cumberland will remain a sweet one piece.

Seems Marty is a busy guy...better get in line Rob. It'll be October/November before he gets to mine.
