Title: Two Rivers Longbows
Post by: NYArrow on March 05, 2011, 07:31:00 AM
Just curious if anyone owns or knows much about this particular bow/bowyer? I know a fella that owns one and was asking, I couldn't find it online anywhere. 1 reference to them on a thread about 3posts long and that was it. Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure that you are not talking about the Tomahawk bows sold by Three Rivers Archery?

I have had 4 of them. They are Bamboo backed all wood longbows. I have had good luck with the bowyer and the bows. They are made in Illinois. By Buck Buckner

Floodman, that is the guy. I did  a bit of checking and found the bowyer goes by the name Buck. Being all wood bows do they seem to hold up?

El Mejor- are you saying someone may be just reselling 3 rivers bows? Or saying I may be confused in the title? I'm sure it is Two Rivers hand scribed on the bow. Looks like a real nice one too!

I've owned $800 all wood bows and none shot better than 2 rivers bows. He now makes straight,RD,and stadic tips. He will skin one out also. None are over 400 Bucks.

WHAT I WAS TRYING TO TELL U WAS,JUST TO LOOK IN TO IT BECAUSE IF THE PERSON THAT OWNS THE BOW NOW DOES NOT KNOW TO MUCH ABOUT IT,MAYBE THAT PERSON COULD HAVE BEEN WRONG WITH THE MAKER OF THE BOW. JUST TRYING TO BE HELPFUL. I WAS NOT IMPLYING THAT THEY WERE PULLING A FAST ONE ON U...BUT I SEE THAT U HAVE FOUND YOUR ANSWER TO THE Q.  THATS GOOD,,,POST SOME PICS... PLEASE...

Thanks for the reply. I'll try and post a pic sometime this week. I'm thinking I will buy it off him considering floodman's good experience.

I have seen his bows and they are fine bows. He is a very talented man, he was a wood worker and he also used to do carvings. I shoot and hunt with his nephew and a very good friend.
