Title: Need Help, Who to have take poundage off a bow Griffin
Post by: DeerSpotter on March 03, 2011, 10:15:00 PM
I have called john who makes the griffin ,Because I'm on his list for another one ,But I can't get him to return my call, I gave him my e-mail but I don't know if he has a computer.  Or maybe he just doesn't do that once he makes the bow.

I purchased it offer the classifieds it is 42# @ 28" I would like to make it a 38#

I would like to have someone take poundage off of it ,I'm only looking at taking about 3# to 4# off.

If nothing else I can live with it being a 42#.
I want to do this because of shoulder problems.

Who would be the best to have do this.  Not worried about cost just somebody that does quality work.

Thanks ahead of time

Carl

Joe Lasch at Prairie Traditions just did a weight reduction on a bow for me.  He goes by Whip on here I believe.  Also a sponsor here.

Chuck is familiar with the Griffin bows. He would be a great choice, and Joe does excellent work also.

I've done some Griffins before - they are great bows!  3-4# off your bow shouldn't be a problem.  Give me a call if you'd like to talk about it.

Oh heck just take a file out and give it go yourself.  Just kidding. I have a Griffin and love the bow. Send it to Whip and he'll make it work for you.

In fairness to John, He called me today ,Two returned the call I made him about taking poundage off the bow .It's about 10 days later ,But he's slow but sure ,And even though he's a little bit more $$$,In accomplishing the task ,I'm going to have him take the poundage off ,Thanks everyone .

I would be happy to "take the bow off your hands", Carl, this would make it a little lighter.

Just kidding bud.

Joe did my Thunderstick great job. Four pounds can make a difference. And you cannot beat the great job he does.   MIKE
