well was the lowes the other day to pick up a few things and saw some alum. piping on a rack. upon closer inspection i was able to find pieces the sixe of a normal alum arrow. i dont have a spine tester to test the saftey of the spine so i figured id say sumthin on here and see if anyone else has ever gotten piping for arrows. if so how well they perform and spine.
thanks,
steven
Forget "home depot" stuff if you like to do archery seriously...it will not work...
Take a look at the tolerances in aluminum shafting....
and Aluminum shafting is by no means expensive...
im not trying to cheap out by no means. i use woodies for hunting now. i was just lookin at something for flu flus. i seed the .92 cant arrow building thing and i use a heavier spine and wondered if these would work.
More than likely made from a soft alloy and will bend and stay bent easily, maybe even when shot. Arrow shafting alloys are made to have some "spring" so they can flex when shot then straighten up and fly.
Your hands will be black after handeling that stuff too.
