I just had to post this as it bodes well for next years Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt. I mowed Dads and next door today and I saw no less than 20 bunnies of all sizes. I do not know if we will ever kill as many as this past years hunt, but I do know they are there :bigsmyl:  !!! Shawn
..............
Same here Shawn...looks to be a peak year in the cycle around here. I haven't seen this many bonnies in many years.
OHHHHHHH YAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!
It's not starting already is it >>------> :jumper:
Yea baby :jumper: there should still be lot's of bunnies around :jumper:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
:jumper: :jumper: :jumper:
We want snow, but maybe only 15"s or so this time. It is funny without all the snow we probably would not have gotten so many bunnies. 16 may be a record that stands a long time. This year is gonna be great, and RER is donating a bow for this years raffle!! OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn
I don't know 'bout the snow...we didn't get any; but we have a lot of rabbits right now.
I can still see Shawn standing on that side hill after Tom shot his bunny yelling,
OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I want to see it again at the next hunt. Chuck needs to start dancing about the first of December to insure a good kill again.
We have a bumper crop here in Kansas too.Well fueled by my garden veggies before I got the fence up... :banghead:
My daughter has given me permission to get them this year because the "cute" bunnies ate all the peas and she really likes fresh peas.
Rabbit the other "other white meat"...
I have been seeing em and thinking the same thing Shawn. What do you think about a "practice run" around here for those that can make it?
Oh, and bow season should be interesting....more bears around this year than ever before. We cant even keep bird feeders out in daylight now.
OOOOOOOHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!
Bears'..did you say bears? Let me know if you need some help thinning them out...
I'll second what Guru said...
Sign me and the Recurve Guy up...
He must have gotten bitten big time.
He went out and bought a new recurve bow and shot with Lil Mikey, me and my two sons at the L.I. Trad Shoot...
I guess the old wives tales aren't tales at all.
Bunnies do produce quickly... :clapper:
Just tie up that guy who did all the snow dancing last year..
Man I cant wait for the fall...
Still speaking of bears....I ran into one at work. Never saw it but I was close enough to hear it huffing and popping its jaws...
Guru, bowspirit...I will talk to the land owner.
I also amd getting rather familiar with the Catskills and the state land. ;)
Is the bear offer open to flatlanders :bigsmyl:
Im not really in the mountains myself....just working up there for now. LOL...but there are bears around here. I dont know how many...but enough to have daily sightings by some or all of the neighbors. Huh....might have to try for a camp-out type weekend or something here....
Yup, we had a big male bear at the local Cumberland farms the other night. i got a good look at him and would say around 350#s. He has been raiding dumpsters the last week. Shawn
