Tell me what you think - I put some nanners on some surewood shafting....they are low pros and about 5.75 long. 3 of them! My jo-jan is set up to be around 9 or 10 degrees helical. I used Duco cement. They fly good and are quiet. Now, I put the same fletch on some GT 5755's with fletch tape on a wrap.....and these sound like an air raid siren all the way to the target! What gives!? What do you think? Am I too helical for nanners? As of now Im thinking of going back to 5 inch shields for the carbon unless someone has some great insight.... :wavey:
You may be... different strokes...
How are those AD Trads?
Is the diameter of the shafts different?
Bruce....I havent posted in a bit here but Im on now and was just about to send you a P.M. as I have those AD's packed up and ready to ship back to ya.....thanks a ton and I truely appreciate you going out of your way in what is apparently typical Trad Ganger fashion to help me out!  You didnt have to but you did....Thank You! I liked those very much too by the way. Put a 175 grain point up there seeming to give me the best flight! Seemed kinda heavey but what the heck right!? Worked Great! Most likely be my next purchase in shafting. :clapper:
Yes Magnus! The wood is 11/32....the Gts are what, .246!? think thats it?
That might have something to do with it. You might be getting more helical with the smaller shaft. I don't know for certain. Others will chime in I'm sure.
