A few weeks back lpcjon2 (Tim Jones) and his son Tucker wanted to pass along Tucker's Mad Dog Pup longbow that he had outgrown. I put my Grandson's name (Jordan) in for a chance and he was the lucky winner.
The bow arrived on Tuesday of this past week, but with it raining all week.......he didn't have the opportunity to shoot it until yesterday. And SHOOT it he did.....probably for about 45 minutes he shot with very little assistance from me. He had an absolute blast with this bow and I want to publicly thank both Tim and Tucker for their generosity. Heck, they threw in about 8 arrows and a real nice little clip on quiver (you can see in the pics).
We have plans to take both Jordan and his sister (Aaralyn) up to Comptons with us this year and he vows to be ready for those dinosaur targets that they have. His sister will have a "very special" bow to take with her to shoot, but I'll post more about that later. To say that they are "looking forward" to going to Comptons with us would be a vast understatement. They are STOKED.......so with each of them having their very own bows to go "dinosaur hunting" with perhaps someone should warn those Michigan dinosaurs in advance.
I'll let the pictures of Jordan speak for themselves.......Oh, and I am currently unable to shoot...BUT....I am one proud Pa-Paw.
Thank-You again......Tim and Tucker !!!!

 He looks like a future elk hunter to me.
A few more........it seems that he can't decide which is "more comfortable".....split-finger or three-under. He'll figure it out.

Very good stuff!! Thanks you for sharing.
Awesome stuff! Way to go Tim & Tucker!
Excellent!!
Wonderful love the pics of kids shooting bows. Thank you for sharing. Dinosaurs be ware.
'Careful with the little ones, my four year old grandson put an arrow on top of our neighbors house the faster than I could stop him with his Maddog R/d model. With the heavier Tim Miegs, it is HTM tipped arrows only. I forgot how fast a kid can be and how far those little bows shoot. His mom, my daughter, and my son were more concerned about hitting the balloons their first time out with new bows. My grandson lives on an acreage and likes to watch arrows high in the air. So do I.
Nice job Jordan.Listen to Grampa and you will be shooting lights out in no time. You look like your catching on really fast!A born natural archer I think.Keep practicing.Nice bow you got thier.Your lucky!
Have fun little man!
Nice pics Don the boy is just like Grandpa..
My grand daughter is 5 months old and I already have a bow picked out for her..
Don: Thanks too Tim & Tucker. Looks to me like Jordan is going to be a great archer. Enjoy, Heal up soon. God Bless Don
Way to bring along the next generations, looks like a fun time. Hope the shoulder is doing good and best of luck with the recovery.
I have my first grandson coming to the world in a little over a month. Cant wait to share these things with him. Thanks for sharing!
That what it's all about! passing it along :campfire:
Very cool!!!
It's good to see those getting passed on. Those bows given away by the vermonster 13 Youth bow program are meant to be sent to those that can use them and not to collect dust once the kid that recieved tham out grows them. So it's good to see the program blossom. Thanks for the pictures.
Yes sir, everyone who enters the drawings agrees to pass them on like this. Glad to see it working. Hope he enjoys the heck out of that bow.
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
I am glad to see a groving archer and the generosity of TG members.Well done for all that are envolved in.
Good on all involved, especially Tim and Tucker for their generosity.
Very nice man! A kid shooting in the outdoors, what could be better than that?
Way to go!!! Great form there Grandpa :)
World Class!
Thanks everyone !!!!! Heck, he has a better "bow arm" than his Pa-Paw does. He just draws her back to anchor and turns her loose but that bow arm is pretty solid.
Before my shoulder surgery, he would watch me shoot.....and me being a "holder" for a few seconds, after a few arrows he says....."Pa-Paw, are YOU thinking to much again ?"

Bryan,
That is on my "to do" list. I'm tellin' ya.......his bow arm is already better than mine, but his "attention span" isn't nearly as long. That will come in time.......I just want it to be "FUN" for them at this age.
