Have to admit I really like it. Did any of you do it yourself ?

Below I have a picture of the same deer exactly one month prior before he busted up his rack.
My father did the mount and plaque, after I fleshed the skull.

I did mine completely by myself for under $50. Here is the link to the full write up w/ pictures if you are interested.

I did the skull mount myself, but my stand was bought through my taxidermist friend.

Here are mine. I did the deer myself (a lot if work) and the bear was done by a taxiderist. The smaller deer fell off the wall the other day and broke some of the nose bone off. Oh well, I guess that's what glue is for.

Styk that is an awesome base, never seen that before!
Thanks,Pretty simple project, just bolted it to a shed same way you bolt them to a board. The trick is finding a shed that will sit on it's tips with out falling over.
My 2010 Big Jim Buffalo Bow Kilt Bear :)

Larry,
Is that just bronze paint on that one bear skull? Looks pretty neat.

Here is the skull of the Black Bear Boar I took this last spring while hunting with Homer Ocean Charters... 58# Kwyk Styk and Gt5575's tipped with 250gn. 1 1/4" VPA's...first picture I have posted so hope it works.
Small 3x3 Mulie taken on Public land in Eastern WA in 09 using a Morrison Shanee/Dakota 56# 60" GT5575's and 135 gn No Mercy S/B broadheads.. both this and the bear above were done by a young friend whom I hunt with who's becoming quite a good full time taxadermist (http://i753.photobucket.com/albums/xx177/BrokenArrow-03/DSCF0002.jpg)st
Nice mounts keep them coming!
Aaron
Yes it's a special bronze paint, it cost about $50.00 more after the skull is cleaned and bleached. It's actually a very large Javelina skull.
Here is a bear I shoot 2 year's ago. It is one of the few I have ever done any type of mounting to. Most I have just let mother nature take it's course. (http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss248/barebow13/IMG_0292.jpg)
Growing up my family wasn't much on mounting animal it has only been the last few years that I have been trying to save some for memorys. Most of my stuff ends up out in the bone yard. (http://i580.photobucket.com/albums/ss248/barebow13/IMG_0294-1.jpg)
Here are a couple of my traditional archery killed skulls. What is surprising to me is the relative size of the coyote and the 155lb, P&Y lion. I glued the broadhead in the coyote skull, though as you can imagine it penetrated further than shown.

Never seen anything like it before.
C-R, if you will notice in the pic of my mount, it has the "bugle" teeth (or whatever you want call them). My taxidermist friend says he sees about 1 or 2 deer a year with them (out of around 100 that he capes out. They are just a genetic defect, but probably happen more than we realize, because not all of us look that closely to every deer that we shoot.
Here is a couple i'v done. Did a bear and that was the hadest for me due to the grease.
