Got a box in the mail late Thursday from Hamilton, MT.
It contained the first actual "new" bow I've ever owned. Dale Dye worked his magic on a 58" Medicine Point with two sets of limbs.

Riser is curly Claro Walnut with a thin stripe of Macassar Ebony. Pierce Points are Wenge and Cocobolo. First set of limbs (54#) are laminated with walnut from the same blank and second set (49#) are Dale's "Medicine Wood". Both sets of limbs have horn tips and are fastflight.
I'm a lousy photographer, but you should be able to get an idea of how nice this bow is:

Dale's bows are a story apart, great craftmaship and maybe the best grip in the market.Congrats.
Thats Beautiful.
WOW!!
i LOVE the med pont bows, AWESOME bow!!!!
Thanks guys.
I finally got to shoot it yesterday.....and tried both sets of limbs. Thanks to the fastflight string that came with it, I don't have any arrows that are perfectly spined for this bow, but was close enough to convince me that it will be my go-to bow in the future.
Did I mention that I love walnut?

Man that is a sweet looking bow! Congratulations. :clapper:
Great looking bow.
Very nice bow and I'd say you are a pretty good photographer too.
Beautiful bow to say the least. Pierce Points always look good!
wow, really cool bow and inlays.
Man that bow is beautiful! I love the checkered grip.
That is the first set of Pierce Points that I have ever thought lovely. I am a big fan of walnut also, and regret letting a bowyer steer me away from it once. That is one beautiful bow, and I am wanting you to know that I am keeping an escrow account for the day that you decide to part with it.

Beautiful!
Wow, nice bow and that grip looks like it is very comfortable. Good choice in wood combos
very nice wood choice. Love it
If it shoots as half as good as it looks you've got yourself a great bow .
My opinion Dales Medicine Point and Trails End are as nice a bow that is on the market today. That is for shooting or looks. Congrats on a beautiful work of art.
Very Nice ......!!
that could be the nicest Dye bow I have ever seen, love the brown walnut and orange coco, probably a loooong wait and a steep price for that bow.
WOW that's almost as good as winning the lottery.
You are one lucky guy, congrats.
That is nice......they shoot as good as they look. Have fun.
Very Nice with great detail.
nice bow ,not my cuppa normally, but i really like this one ;)

What was the wait on that beauty?
Quote...."Did I mention that I love walnut?"
Nothing quite like it!!
Seriously I don't know if I could quit looking at it long enough to shoot it.
Absolutely Amazing work :)

I'm pronouncing that bow as the finest Dale Dye Medicine Point I've ever seen...by a mile.
I can only imagine your satisfaction.
Good grief! How DOES Dale Dye do that? Gorgeous!
GOOD LAWD!!! That is absolutely beautiful!!
work of art
What a great looking bow. Let me know if you want to sell her.
BEAUTIFUL
Stunning. Caccitore mentioned the grip. I agree that Dale's bows have probably the best grip out there. Congratulations.
WOW! That is almost to sharp to hunt with! Congrats on one fine looking bow for sure!
Stunning craftsmanship!
Gorgeous wood!
Happy shooting!!
A beautiful piece of art that's not meant to just hang on the wall.
Congrats!!
Definitely a great looking bow.
Gorgeous! Do you like walnut?
A beautiful bow for sure sir!
Thanks for all the great compliments folks....I wish we could all send those compliments along to Dale, since I'm nothing more than the current guardian of this fine bow. Dale took the remnants of some trees, glue and fiberglass and turned them into a bow that is magic in the hands and easy on the eyes.
Kathy - when I get too old to pull this bow back or just decide that I only want to shoot my old Bear bows, I would be honored to know that it continues to be shot and hunted in Virginia!
For those that asked, I think it will usually be about 18 to 24 months on a waiting list, depending on what his orders look like.
For those that asked....YES....I actually do love walnut. Here is the board that was provided to Dale:

Tastefully executed, both you and Dale did well.
Slick looking bow. Very unique.
Tony, great looking bow that is a work of art, great wood choices. I have had a medicine point since 2006 also in 58" length. Dales work is second to none and his limbs draw oh so smooth. Its a bow you will always keep and hand down to your son or grand children.Ron.
Tony, PM sent. Ron.
Sweet, another piece of art.
GORGEOUS BOW.....

And I was there with you BS'ing nearly the whole time :)
The pics just do not do this bow justice, folks. Amazing looks, and the craftsmanship is off the hook.
Congrats again!
Be A utiful
His bows are amazing. I traded Dale a Nez Perce Winchester 94' years back for one of his bows with 2 sets of limbs.
Cocobolo riser, antler tips on both sets of limbs, Antler knobs.
Big Mistake, I sold it!
I'd like to have her back......
Had my name on it and he named the bow "o'l sure shot"..He does that alot, naming his bows......Philip
Just plain beautiful!!!!!!!
I've been trying to deciede on on getting a Black Widow or a Dale Dye and after lookin at this man oh man the choice is oh so hard. Man what a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL, Bow. Congrats. :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
WOW and WOW! Very nice wood combination!
That's a keeper
Two things I like about that bow. The wood is awsome and DAle makes an awsome bow. The walnut is one of my favorite riser woods. fancy walnut is just plain classy to me.
God blessed you with that one. Steve
Very nice bow!
Very nice, congrats!
Congrats, that is a great looking bow.
Beautiful bow,congrats!
How long did you have to wait?
My Dale Dye Medicine Point bow is the only bow I have to shoot every day. Its that nice.
Good luck with your bow!
Thanks guys. I was a bit surprised to see this thread back up!
Steve - coming from a bowyer whose work I seriously admire, that means a lot. You use my other favorite wood quite a bit....curly koa!
She now wears a new SBD 8 strand D-10 string.....along with a pair of my wife's great French Angora puff balls......VERY, VERY quiet! Of course, 600 plus grain CE Heritage arrows help a bit as well.
I took the bow up to the Catskills this past weekend to shoot with the NY guys at Mike's (mcgroundstalker) 3-D and Muzzy Block setup. It was a lot of fun, although I certainly could have shot better! Me and Muzzy Blocks don't get along!
Shawn Leonard fondled her for a bit and flung a few arrows.....I wasn't sure if I was gonna get her back!!!
It has quickly become my favorite Dale Dye bow. I'm slowly but surely getting used to the shorter length, but it certainly is fun to shoot.
