does anybody shoot at 60" pl at 29 to 30 what are your thoughts pros / cons im getting a sixty inch 64 pound on friday thanks nick
Nick, I shoot a 64" PL drawn to 29". Very smooth and comfortable. Black Widow has a recommended draw length of 23" to 27" for the 60" PL. You may get into some abrupt stacking pulling that short of a bow to 29/30". That's 2 to 3 inches farther than recommended.
I'm with Moebow. I draw 28 and they recommended 64" for my length. I own two PLVs and love them.
Wait and see...
I do agree with Montana and Moe.. it sounds a bit short... That having been said one of mine is 51@ 28, 62" and I draw dead nut 28". It works fine. My new one is a 64" 44#@ 28 TD with a LAG grip and seems to feel the same perhaps a bit smoother.
Good luck
I had a 62" PL Widow,I draw 27" and it was fine for me.I think a 60" might stack at your longer draw.
I draw a solid 29" with my 62" PL and past that I does start to stack.
Confirm with Roger or Toby at BW but I think you'd be happier with the 62" offering.
You can always test drive a 60" and see if it's for you.
Jason
Get a 66" bow (or a 64"). I draw 29", and had two 64" PLs, and did quite well with them. I tried my friend's 66" PL, and it was even better.
Like Ben said go with the 66". I had a 64" and it was ok... but the 66" was alot smoother at my 30" draw. If your looking for an ultra short longbow and have a long draw, IMO the PLX is not the right bow for you. I belive it was designed to be a
L O N G B O W.
Just throwing this out there, you may want to take a look at Lost Creek Bows. I just got one and I am very impressed with it. It's only 58" but draws very smooth even to my 30" draw. It is as fast or faster than any of my recurves but, much quieter.
Good luck, Glen
You could probably get by with a 62", but a 64" or 66" will better. Or try one if you can, then you will know for sure. Good luck.
