I have alluded on several posts from folks further south getting out and shooting how tough its been here. Had a couple of days that it broke 32. Put the deer target out and got a couple of rounds in two days in a row. Sure enjoyed shooting outside, rather than in fluorescent lit ranges.

The snow bank in the back stopped the arrows pretty well. Lost one on a forty yard shot. It'll show up once the thaw arrives.

A twenty yard round with the Horne take down I bought off of Robtattoo back in November. I love this bow.

Another twenty yard round with the new to me Iriqouis thanks to Graybeard's generous donation to the Surtees auction. Have not had the chance to shoot this bow much, but I am looking forward to using it this turkey season! Can't wait till I can get out walking in the woods without snowshoes!
Nice shooting! Those are some sweet looking bows right there!
Glad you could get out and stretch the shooting muscles. Good looking groups and bows! :clapper:
Getting out to shoot sure helps with the cabin fever! Nice lookin bow you have there.
Good shooting.
The forecast says twenty five with some sun here on Sunday, that feels pretty balmy this time of year. I'm looking forward to doing what you did today. Nice bows!
Glad you could get out and shoot, looking good. I really like the looks of your Iriqouis. Enjoy
I live in southeast Texas and it's getting warm now. The grass is starting to grow, some of our trees are starting to bud and some of my wife's azaleas flowers are starting to bloom. We'll still have a few cold fronts come through, but they don't last long now.
Temperature here today is supposed to be 76 degrees and for tomorrow, 82 degrees. In a few minutes, I'm going outside to shoot both of my bows.
I think Night Wing is rubbin it in a little! I'd say you were diffinitely ready to get outside. Jason
You gotta love our Texas weather
Love it until august when its over 100 for a week with lowes in the low 90s.
It has been a cold winter this year. We usually break the freezing mark more regularly. At this point if it is above 30 I am in a light wool undershirt and a flannel shirt if I am outside. I prefer it cooler and start to complain when the temps get into the mid 70's if I have anything other than sitting around to do. While I am jealous of you southern gentlemen getting out and enjoying the first blooms of spring ans stump shooting I don't think I could handle the temps from May through October down there. Just hoping to lose a bunch of snow soon so our deer herd isn't decimated this year.
Glad you are getting out, Mike. Have a good spring. Nice shooting.

Just got back in from shooting my new Holm Osprey, I know how you feel, 12" of fresh snow on Friday and the winter is just dragging on.......can't wait for the thaw and stump'n!!
Wow! I can see why a person would get cabin fever with all that snow on the ground. It looks like you're ready for deer season. You have a couple really nice looking bows! Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Hey Mike, I know what you mean. How much snow did you get yesterday, I think we got about 6" to 8".
It's nice and stinks when you see people out shooting with NO snow.
If were lucky maybe the end of April before we see ground lol.
Nice looking bows.
We got around 12". Another dusting on the ground this morning. That arrow I lost in the snow bank will take longer now that the most recent show has been added to that pile. Can't get any higher, just keeps getting thicker.
thats some good shootin, nice bows too. ruddy
