Hey just wondering what ur usig this spring for turkeys? Lets hear it!
56" beeler r/d longbow 52# @28" with 466 gr goldtip trad arrows and probably 2 blade magnus stingers (125 gr) or snuffers
This year it looks like the Browning Nomad I 56#@28, Grizzly Stik Banshees, and Zwickey Eskimos or 125 grain Muzzies.
I'm thinking I'll be using 160 grain Snuffers with 75 grain inserts. I'll either shoot my Kanati or the Orion with the recurve limbs...assuming they get here...been a long wait.
Vyperkahn.. 51 @ 28
Victory HV 350... 28.5" arrow...400 up front...608 gn-total...32.4% FOC
Big Jim 'Big 3'.... 1.5"... 3-Blade BH
Hornstra....Trumpet
Till I get one , 12G 3" 870 Xpress . Next , Dream Catcher Snuffer BH 125 grn ? wooden shafts . A bird in hand is worth many stories about how close you came to gitting one .
68# Widow longbow SBD 8 strand string GT 7595 full length 100 gr brass insert Steelforce Sabertooth 150 gr heads.
56" 3pc Acadian Woods Treestick or my 60" 2 pc Big Jims Buffalo bow.
56inch thunderchild 52@28 beamon mfx and probably Simmons broadheads.
53# griffin; elite cedar arrow with 160 grain snuffer.
Same as my deer set up. 60" osage 55#@26 Dodwood shoots home made 140 grain trade points, 130 TO 148 grain knaped heads. But mainly use the trade points on gobblers.
Same as my big game hunting setup, this year it looks like my Hoyt Buffalo 54# at 27in, 28in Beman MFX 500's with 100gr inserts and Muzzy 125gr 4bl heads. Previously I have used my BW SA bows in 54 and 56#.
This arrow combo has worked out very well for me on many turkeys in the past and I usually get excellend performance. I have not gotten a complete pass thru on the last 9 birds I have shot with that arrow type setup, you do not need any stoppers with trad arrows, my arrows are normally hanging by the fletching, arrow 1/2way in and out, or broadhead fully embedded in the bird. I like to us a big, 4bl head to do as much damage as possible and with a good hit, most birds will just flop a few times and be down.
Will be shooting my Tall Tines 58" 55#@28" w/wensel woodsman on the front of 2117 classics. Will be shooting out of the Double Bull blind. Now just need to find the turkeys.Population is way down in our part of the world.S.E.Iowa,N.E.Missouri.Good luck to all.

Same as last spring....50" Browning Cobra, 58" Kempf Longbow, Sitka Spruce arrows tipped with 160 gr Snuffers all stuffed in my Catquiver 3.5.
Since I don't use a blind, this year I'm going back to my Rancho Safari Ghille hat. I cleaned it up and forgot just how much I like using it when deer hunting.
Hey Joe, I am a big Browning bow fan and have shot a lot of different ones----with the Cobra being one I haven't played with, she shoot pretty good? Anything like the Bear Magnums?
48" homemade korean traditional bow, around 55#@25.5" ,some 500 carbon shaft with 50 grain insert and Magnus bullhead or broadhead. Preferably the bullhead arrows.
Unfortunately, there are no glue on bullheads.
Hoyt Buffalo 55#, Carbon 400 Arrows w/3- 5" left wing shield cut feathers, 145 grain weight tube and 125 grain Muzzy mx4.
My set up is a zenith 27"with a remote and the couch. I see more in the car then afield. See them all deer season but when turkey season comes they go in the turkey protection program and I never see them. I just about given up on them.I was using a Hill Tembo 70# with cedar or magnolia and 125 gr woodsman.
Homemade glass 73# recurve, 800 grain Alaska Bowhunting Supply Grizz Stick with 185 grain Samuari single bevel or XL Silver Flame
