Title: Burning feathers with arrow wraps
Post by: Northwoods on February 24, 2011, 10:26:00 PM
this is my 1st batch of arrows with wraps and I've only burnt feathers a couple of times having previously bought precut feathers.  Do I need to protect the wrap to keep it from melting while burning feathers?  If so, any suggestions on what to use to protect the wrap.

Thanks,

Ted

Like LB338 said... it will leave a brown color but wont damage the wrap if it doesn't actually touch the wire.

Like said just don't let the ribbon get too close.I have burnt feathers on wraps with no problems.Same goes with gasket lacquer,I got the ribbon to close and touched it and it lit up like a match.
