Got this Lynx from Dan Toelke to have some fun with and thought I'd share what I thought with you guys. First off when I received the bow it came in a carpet tube in a roll up bow case. It came with two endless loop strings with catwhiskers set-up and a bowstringer. The packing and extras are sweet. The bow is 64" and 50@28 for those who want to know the specs.
The riser is a Phenolic Linen with Cocobolo and Myrtle overlays. AA very slim and comfortable grip.

It has a thumbrest which you'll either love or hate most likely.

The limbs are 2 layers of clear glass over Myrtle veneers with 3 layers of bamboo in the core.

The tips are small buggers and are Cocobolo, Myrtle and black glass.

Here is the bow unstrung.

Strung it makes a nice D shape.

The bow costs $925 from Dan and recurve limbs are also available for this riser now. Extra limbs if ordered with the bow will run you $400($25 less if you get black instead of clear glass) if you order them later they run $450.
Recommended brace is 7 1/8 - 7 3/4, I set her up at 7 1/8 for today. I'll increase a little over the next few days to see if I like any other brace better.
At 7 1/8 the bow is the quickest Toelke I've shot ever. It has a mild thump sound at the shot but I believe I can get rid of that very easily with tweaking the brace. But after the first three arrows I shot I don't know if I really want to fuss with it too much.

I was very surprised with that group since I haven't shot in a few weeks. The fit and finish is immaculate on this bow. Dan is one of the finest bowyers out there and a great guy to boot. If the riser fits you this bow is a shooter and second to none in quality of build. I look forward to spending some more time with it this week.
Sweeeeet
Very nice and good shooting too!
Nice bow and no doubt great shooting.
Im going to print and cut the full sized pics out and tape them to my bow for a face lift. It will kinda be like having a new bow! :knothead:
None of the pics are over 640 pixels wide so they are within the rules. I like being able to see the details of the work and this is some fine work. :)
Sweeeeet Dave :archer2:

I agree 100%. This kinda work deserves to be seen up close.
SEXY BOW, Dan knows how to build them, Very Cool. I predict the Lynx is going to be a huge seller.
Gorgeous, killer looking bow. Double thumbs up!
That is one nice looking bow!!!
In my mind and maybe it's the pics, but that's a stretch calling it a D bow. Looks a liiiiitle D ish in the upper limb pic. But not too much in the full lenght pic.

That, is one fine looking bow. The Lynx is definitely on my Bucket List!
Got one on order.... I'm getting more excited by the day. I was not looking to buy a bow. However, I shot a lynx at the Chico MBA meeting. Sold a widow and ordered one the next week. They are the whole package!
