What kind of quivers do you like for stumpin' and 3D shoots? I've been considering a back quiver, but my experiences with them thus far have not been good. My main complaint is that it's hard for me to get arrows in and out of them. Granted, some have been self-made and others have been cheap, so maybe that's part of the issue. I'll never hunt with this - I like my bow mounted quiver for that. This will be strictly for targets.
Look at the SafariTuff; you may change your mind about hunting with it. It is a great quiver.
For stump shooting you can't beat a good 'ole back quiver! 'Course that's just my opinion. :D

The arrowmaster is my favorite hunting quiver. I also use it for 3D and stumping if rain looks likely. On a clear day, if it's cool I'll use a back quiver for 3D and stumps. On a hot day, I'll use a hip quiver I got from Big Jim at Denton Hill.

Yep the arrow master works for all things stumps to hunting for me. However, for 3d and stumps this year I will be trying out my new pocket quiver as long as I am not using judo heads.
Jack Bowers side quiver, great for stump'n, 3-D and not bad for hunting either!!
I gotta agree with the SafariTuff quiver! I love the look and trad. feel of back quivers but it just would not work in a practical sense for me. My arrowmaster keeps my arrows totally protected and secure as I plow through brush, hunt through rain, and bounce around on the atv rack. Great product!
I use these for 3D, roving, and hunting:

Arrowmaster for sure.Trekker thats a nice quiver.
Thanks to work my arms dont move like they use to and i have a hard time with back quivers. Now i use a Jack's quiver like Trekker's. Easy to get arrows in and out and i dont get hung up in brush looking for arrows..LOL

I really like the one in the second pic Trekker. Your own make?
flintznstyx: Yep, I made em all. It's real close to Jack Bower's design, except I open the top up a bit more.
rest Trekker - that is a nice looking quiver. Do you sell them?
Dawgware side quiver, easy to access arrows, secure and quite.

Ditto. It's great for doing anything that involves arrows.

Another vote for the Bower's side quiver - have used it for years for everything
For 3-D and stumpin I practice with my hunting bows which are all eqipped with GN bowquivs. filled with arras. For xtra ammo I carry a side quiv. that sticshooter made me.
Another vote for SafariTuff Arrowmaster quiver, I use mine for both hunting & 3D, love it!!!
A bowquiver... all of the time.
same one i hunt with...
i'm not a target archer, i don't particularly like 3d events. i do like the muzzy and stumpin' as both are excellent hunting practice. i have no 'target specific bows', all my bows are built for the hunt. for roving i'll only use quivers that i use for hunting - an efa 4 or 5 arrow bow quiver or a safari tuff duiker stuffed with up to 10 arrows.
I don't chase around after 3-D events anymore, but I do like to shoot indoors and some stump shooting. I usually get stump meat on the first shot, but just in case, it's good to have back up. Like Rob, I like a good lightweight 4-5 arrow bow quiver. I will show one of my favorite bows and quivers, and also a bow quiver converted to a kind of stealth quiver with the addition of an adjustable strap.

Safari Tuff for me.
For stumping and 3D nothing beats a good well broken in roomy back quiver. Also love it to hunt with as it carries lots of ammo to take pot shots at skwerls!!! :archer:
I use a back quiver for all of my target and stump shooting. For treestand hunting I use a bow quiver, for still hunting I use a homemade GFA type.
If I had to chose just one it would definately be the back quiver. I make my own out of medium stiffness leather that comforms to your back.
I have a Great Northern bow quiver on my recurve and I use a Safari Tuff with my longbow when hunting. For stumping and when carrying a lot of arrows I have a back quiver. If I could only have one quiver though, I would go with the Safari Tuff as it is very versatile and user friendly. You should try out several kinds of quivers and like a lot of us, you will end up with a small arsenal of quivers to suit your needs and preferences. There are a lot of good quivers out there and it will boil down to personal preference. Best of luck!
I just picked up the GFA quiver at the Waterloo Expo from G.Fred. I have not used it yet on 3D but have used it stumping. I love it. Very well made and light weight. Changes to almost any position you want(back, side, etc.) I am pleased!
Pocket quiver for 3D,side quiver for Judos
Goo lookin bow 2fletch, what is it?
PH, it's a Striker bow, and it shoots great. It is one of the lightweight bows that shoot better with the quiver on it.
The hide handlers back quiver has a three way harness that will allow you to get those arrows where you want them and keep them there.
Wannabe1 love that second one with the fur who makes it?

For stumping I use a back quiver but for 3-D I use a Steve Catts hip quiver. Not only is it super comfortable but it only holds 6 arrows and on some days that prevents me from loosing more then six :biglaugh:

For stumping, I use my regular bow quiver and add a piggy backer for one more arrow.
For the judo points, I just put them in upside down, nock end into the foam, works great.
I can't get used to a back quiver.
COOL QUIVER PICS....
SAFARI-TUFF!
