I had an odd idea while reading TG. I wanted to use some of my old aluminum arrows I had laying around for stumping and squirrels. So I dont have any screw in blunt heads and I came up with this.
I took a barrel from a clicker type pen and melted the end shut and epoxied it,then filled it with steel shot (to equal 125gr) and then sealed it and epoxied. I took out the insert on the 2315 XX75 shaft and applied glue to the pen barrel and slid it in(fits snug) and added the insert back in. Then I took a used 380 cal casing and heated it up and pushed the shaft on it. It looks real good and has front weight. I still have to shoot it.So what do you think, it's like a home made weight tube and head that cost just about nothing. :coffee:
I think I need pictures to understand.
I'm just saying for me it would help.
Thanks!
God bless,Mudd

O k, the white (barrel) gets melted/crimped then sealed.filled with shot(to desired weight) then other end sealed with epoxy . then spread eposy on the barrel and slide it into the front part of the shaft. put the point insert back in. Heat up the shell casing and push the arrow on it. I have one pic I will do another arrow tomorrow and take a few step photos.

sounds like it would work just fine.
That will work.
