Title: Perfect day
Post by: wollelybugger on February 20, 2011, 08:44:00 AM
May in Pa. is as good as it gets for me. Nothing more beautiful than a nice May day. Anywho, my perfect May day always starts out at dawn on a ridge waiting for the Goblers to sound off. I usually hunt till around ten and get a bite to eat. I usually take a little nap and head out to the trout stream and do a little fly fishing with my bamboo rod. Thats heaven to me. What's your perfect day in the outdoors.

When you smell them you know they're close, maybe too close w/all the eyes. You're right in the middle. How did that happen? Not a sound. Cold crisp mountain air projects every breath. Don't breathe. Keep your eyes closed but for pinholes. Giant antlers raking lodgepole shatter the quiet. Pray your heart doesn't give you away. Perfect is stalking into an elk herd for an 18 yard shot on a 6by.

A perfect day for me is with my family.

A perfect day hunting, is with my bow enjoying Mother Nature, and not necessarily getting an animal.
