Title: Feb 24-26 Opening at Hog Heaven
Post by: Red Beastmaster on February 15, 2011, 07:45:00 PM
This is short notice but perhaps someone is free to hunt with us at Ray Hammonds next weekend. Due to some very unfortunate circumstances one of our group is unable to go.

Here are the details:

We are a group of five good ole boys from the hills of Pennsylvania. We call ourselves The PA Hawg Hauling Crew. This is our third trip to Ray's so you know we love the place and especially our host, Ray. We are dedicated traditional bowhunters who like to hunt hard and have a good time.

Our hunt starts at noon on Thurs, Feb 24 and runs through Sat, Feb 26. This gives us an extra day to hunt and another of Ray's great dinners! We pack up and leave Sunday morning after breakfast (no hunt).

I'm sure Ray will be jumping in here soon so any other details can be worked out. Hope to see you there!

Dave

Dave doesn't post here a tremendous amount, but I will vouch for his upstanding character.

(Did I just say that?)  :bigsmyl:

Were it not for impending back surgery and a Dad losing ground in the nursing home, I'd have to think really hard about a return engagement of my own!

The weather is really turning on with temps in the high 60's and up to 70-72 in the day...40's at night: PERFECT hog hunting weather.

This will draw them out of the thickets and to the corn we'll put in the water-filled ditches and borrow pits making them easy hunting so someone should grab this opportunity-

Call me with questions!!! 678-300-2883

THANKS FOR LOOKING!!

Good luck to whoever can make it.   I'd be tempted if I didn' t have to work. I am from PA originally, after all.

Hey guys, it's the best time of the year weatherwise...cool evenings, warm days. The hogs are really active now and moving to root for food. LOTS of sightings.

Just across the line here in Ga. Jerry Brumm and I had so many growl at us the last few days, I was thinking about getting scared.........

Ray,

These guys don't realize how much their lives will be enriched by socializing with the Hawg Hauling Crew! My gosh, it's hard to imagine the life change! We've all become better husbands and fathers after the last two hunts! Our wives were wondering who this Ray guy was too, he had to be some Dr Phil type. They were impressed!

And if all this wasn't enough, I'll even throw in a custom T-shirt I made for the hunt!

I think the t-shirt would make it worth the price of admission-

"IN THE SWAMP, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM!!!"

Plus, I'll let you sleep on Biggie's favorite couch.

I slept on that couch. Is that what's wrong with it? I was there once on the 4th of July and it was the closest place to the air conditioner but I commented on a huge bulge in the middle of it and Ray just said "Biggie broke it".

Well Kasey still has a young spine that can handle it. The Hawg Hauling Crew is a little more "experienced" and needs proper support.

Besides, we're not totally sure what creatures were conceived, born, or died on that couch!

Kasey, it's all yours.
