Title: Low Profile Banana cut ?
Post by: stringstretcher on February 14, 2011, 11:42:00 AM
Can someone who has a low profile banana lil chopper please help me with some dimensions.  What length does it chop right out of the box and what height?  I sure would appreciate it.

From 3Rivers website:

New: We just added a new low profile banana chopper to the list. Like the regular hi-back banana chopper the feather base is 5 3/4", but the feather height is approx 3/4" tall instead of the 7/8" of the hi-back banana chopper.

The little chopper is easily modified for different length and heights using a modified plate, where the feather is placed against.
My personal is 4.5" long and max. 0.444" high.
Very economic, since you usually get 2 cut feathers out of a full length.
I like 60/120 four fletch with them, too.

I have been trying to come up with a shape and am making a cutting tool similar to the ones sold. I am making my cutting bar from OLD steel banding I got from motorcycle shop that they band large creates with and someoak for the wood base.

Thanks all.  I am trying to come up with a low, low, lower profile.  What is wanting is one the same lenght 5 3/4 but would like it under 1/2 inch. I have a set up to do 5" and it comes out to 5/8 tall.  Just trying to get it lower and longer.
