About three years ago, I bought a 64" Kota Prairie Nomad from jwingman. It was my first long bow, and boy could I shoot it!
A year later, a friend talked me into trading for a 62" Whip he had. Nice bow, and I could shoot it very well also, but deep down, I wanted my Kota.
This year, I traded away my 51# Kanati to get a bow for my daughter. I was now without a legal moose hunting bow (the Whip was about 49# at my draw, need 50#.) The Kota, being 52#, was just perfect, plus it is a TD! I made the call to Juneau, and my friend said that he could never get use to the Kota, and sure, he would trade back....yahoo!
So here it is:

Here's a photo from before I traded for the Whip:

Good for you and my hat's off to your friend for trading back to you. I think a lot of us have made trades or sell that we regret later. I know I have. Good on you for getting a your bow back. Best to you hunting with your old bow!
Bet it was a nice reunion with a beautiful bow!
why did you ever trade it,nice bow.
It must have been meant to be, that's a gorgeous bow.
She's a pretty one..
Love the green.
I am happy for you!
Congratulations!!
God bless,Mudd
Great, some bows just need to come Home. You are a lucky man.
No wonder you wanted her back! Beautiful bow.
I guess that it was just meant to be!
Really nice bow.
Nice looking bow!!
congratulations glad you got it back!
Good for you!
Lucky you...that's a nice one....
Nice story, I really like the wood combo on that one. I'd like to own a kota someday, I may duplicate that one.
What's neat about this thread is it shows what is a good fit for one isn't necessarily the same for the next. We all have different tastes in equipment. This is what makes traditional so unique.
very nice bow congrats
Reunited with your first love. :archer:
Perfect love story for Valentines Day!!!! Glad she is back!!!
I love the wood combo do you have a description of it. Also do you have a photo of the back of the bow?
Good for you bro. Go stick a moose. Beauty!
Was there any "MOJO" left in her or did your buddy use it all up?
Congrats, she is one awesome looking bow.
Thanks, everyone. Yup, the mojo is still in there. I hope double check it on a moose!
I'll get a photo of the back when I get the chance.
Cool, I never saw a green longbow.
Thats cool... the favorite comes home... good for you
Just like peas and carrots. Lucky you
